Today, I will share the "Epitaph of Tang Yao" unearthed in 1920 in Magou Village, northeast of Luoyang, Henan.
The full name of "Tang Yao's Epitaph" is "The Epitaph of the Male Tang Envoy of the Late Wei Dynasty", which was erected in the first year of Yong'an of the Northern Wei Dynasty (528 years), the epitaph is 41.3 centimeters high, 45.5 centimeters wide, a total of 21 lines, 23 words per line, 447 words, and is now stored in the Forest of Steles in Xi'an, Shaanxi.
Although the stele does not belong to the epitaph of the Yuan family, it is also a very high-quality epitaph of the Northern Wei Dynasty. The epitaph is flat and elegant, the knot is simple and square, the dot painting is crisp, and the square pen is the main one on the pen, and the changes are rich. It has both the charm of the North Monument and the law of Tang Kai, which is a very important material for us to study the North Monument.
