As the core component of mobile phones, processors play a vital role in the daily use of users. It has a direct impact on the smoothness of operation, gaming performance, network speed, photographic effects, and the performance of AI intelligence. Therefore, knowing the performance of the processor is undoubtedly an important reference when comparing the performance of mobile phones or choosing a new one.

Check the notice:

Due to differences in vendors, test environments, and performance priorities (such as CPU, GPU, AI, and power consumption), there may be some errors in the ranking results of the CPU ladder chart of mobile phones. Therefore, the ladder chart is for informational purposes only and does not represent a rigorous performance ranking comparison.

If you notice any missing models or obvious ranking errors when looking at your phone's CPU ladder chart, don't hesitate to point them out. We look forward to your valuable feedback on how to improve the ladder diagram together.

(3) The condensed version of the ladder diagram has marked the new chips released this year with the names in red and the popular models in bold, so that users can quickly identify new products and reflect the consumption trend of "buying new and not buying old".

Since 2024, the mobile phone CPU ladder diagram has been updated to this day, and the changes in the previous issues are as follows:

  • In January and February, due to the gap between the Spring Festival, there were no new product releases.
  • However, with the arrival of March, we have welcomed two new products on the ladder, namely the Snapdragon 8s Gen3 and Snapdragon 7+ Gen3 launched by Qualcomm chips.
  • In April, the Ladder chart was updated again, adding Huawei's Kirin 9010 and Kirin 9000S1, as well as MediaTek's Dimensity 6300, to make the options more diverse.
  • In May, we saw more new products added to the ladder, including Huawei's Kirin 9010L, MediaTek's Dimensity 9300+, and Dimensity 7300/X, bringing more options and possibilities.

After verification, it is indeed missing, so the ladder diagram in this issue has been supplemented, and the following is an introduction to the performance of Dimensity 8250.

On May 9, MediaTek's official website quietly launched a new Dimensity 8000 series chip - Dimensity 8250, which has been released by the OPPO Reno 12 released on May 23.

From the name, the Dimensity 8250 seems to be in a position between the Dimensity 8200 and 8300. However, from a technical point of view, the Dimensity 8250 is not much different from the Dimensity 8200. They are all built on the same 4nm process, with four A78 cores and four A55 cores (up to 3.1GHz), and are equipped with components such as the Mali-G610 MC6 GPU and APU 580, and there are no significant differences between the two in these parameters.

So far, the only known difference is that the Dimensity 8250 chip introduces the Star Engine Adaptive feature. This technology is the result of in-depth tuning by OPPO and Dimensity, which is theoretically expected to improve the performance of the chip in games while keeping power consumption as low as possible.

To put it simply, the Dimensity 8250 is deeply optimized for gaming performance, which can improve the gaming experience to a certain extent.

Overall, the Dimensity 8250 is more like the Dimensity 8200 Gaming Enhanced Edition, and there is a certain gap in performance compared to the Dimensity 8300.

In the latest June ladder chart update, Huawei and Qualcomm announced new processors, let's take a look.

Huawei has launched the all-new Kirin 9010E processor. On June 28, Huawei released the Pura 70 Beidou Satellite Message Edition, with a starting price of 5599 yuan, which is 100 yuan more expensive than the previous Pura 70 standard version.

The Beidou Satellite Message Edition can realize the free editing of text messages and the sending of picture messages when there is no network on the ground, which can be called the treasure function of travel and exploration.

Originally, everyone thought that compared with the standard version, Beidou satellite message only had more satellite message support. Unexpectedly, Huawei Pura 70 Beidou Satellite Messaging Edition also debuted Kirin 9010E processor, which is stronger than the Kirin 9000S carried by the previous standard version.

Kirin 9010E is a Kirin 9010 ultra-large core CPU frequency version, with 8 cores and 12 threads, the main frequency is reduced by 111MHz, and the GPU is still Maleoon 910, and the gap between the two in performance is small.

Specifically, the CPU composition of the Kirin 9010E is 1×2.19GHz Taishan core + 3×2.18GHz Taishan core + 4×1.55GHz Cortex-A510, while the CPU of Kirin 9010 is 1×2.3GHz Taishan core + 3×2.18GHz Taishan core + 4×1.55GHz Cortex-A510. According to Geekbench 6's running score data, the Huawei Pura 70 Beidou Satellite Messaging Edition scored 1358 points in single-core and 4343 points in multi-core, which is slightly lower than that of Kirin 9010.

In comparison, the Kirin 9010 scored 1442 points for single-core and 4471 points for multi-core in the Geekbench 6 CPU test. On the whole, the performance ranking of the Kirin 9000 series chips launched by Huawei this year is roughly as follows: Kirin 9010> Kirin 9010E> Kirin 9000S> Kirin 9000S1> Kirin 9010L> Kirin 9000SL> Kirin 8000.

It's fair to say that Huawei's current processor lineup is a bit complicated (probably due to the low yield rate and many defective products), which can be confusing if not sorted out.

In general, Huawei Pura 70 Beidou Satellite Message Edition is only 100 yuan more than the standard version, but it brings two obvious upgrades, which is undoubtedly a more cost-effective choice! However, there may be some disappointment for users who have already purchased the standard version.

In addition, Qualcomm released the Snapdragon 6s Gen3 processor for the low-end market on June 8.

This processor made its debut on the Moto S50 Neo thousand-dollar machine, which was released on June 23.

The core specifications of the Snapdragon 6s Gen3 are as follows:

– Process: TSMC 6nm process

– CPU规格:搭载2颗2.3GHz的Cortex-A78大核和6颗2.202GHz的Cortex-A55小核

– GPU规格:搭载Aereno 619 GPU

– Memory support: Supports up to LPDDR4X 2133MHz memory and UFS 2.2 flash memory

– Network support: Equipped with a Snapdragon X51 modem, it supports 802.11a and 802.11ac networks

– Image support: Support up to 108MP camera, can record 1080P 60FPS or 720P 120FPS slow motion video

In terms of core parameters, the performance of Snapdragon 6s Gen3 is average, and it does not support Wifi 6, and the comprehensive performance is roughly equivalent to the level of Snapdragon 695+ processor. This processor is likely primarily intended to replace the previous Snapdragon 680 and Snapdragon 695.

After Qualcomm released the Snapdragon 6s Gen3, many users expressed doubts about its naming. The naming of "S" and "Gen3" may lead some users to mistakenly think that the Snapdragon 6s Gen3 is more powerful than the Snapdragon 6 Gen1, but in fact it is only an entry-level processor, so please be aware of it.

That's it for the update of the June version of the mobile ladder map. Hopefully, this information will be helpful to everyone when choosing chips, comparing performance, and buying a new phone.
