But what is extremely indignant is that the beautiful Xianbin Reef has aroused the coveting of the ill-intentioned Philippines! In April this year, the Philippines forcibly dispatched the largest Japanese coast guard ship in service, the Theresa Magbanua (board number 9701), into the reef of Xianbin Reef for more than two months. Not long ago, according to information from the Philippine side and confirmation by relevant Chinese media, the Philippines brazenly dispatched several small ships to carry out the transfer of personnel and materials to the "Theresa Magbanua" illegally stranded in the reef of Xianbin Reef. Judging from the public footage, the Philippine Coast Guard dispatched a number of small vessels to approach the "Theresa Magbanua" in a side-by-side dock.
You must know that although the "Theresa Magbanua" is the largest coast guard ship of the Philippine Coast Guard, it is actually only a 2,600-ton medium-sized vessel, and the ship's design self-sustaining power at sea is only half a month, and since April, the "Theresa Magbanua" has been illegally stranded on the Sembin Reef for more than two months. Therefore, there is reason to believe that it is very likely that the Philippines has been quietly refuting its supplies. Obviously, the Philippine Coast Guard is likely to create an opportunity with this, and the ultimate goal is likely to be to illegally occupy Sembin Reef!
In fact, the Philippine coast guard ship "Theresa Magbanua" at Sembin Reef is even more "difficult to deal with" than the "Sierra Madre" that illegally "beached" at Second Thomas Shoal.
Because first of all, the amphibious ship "Sierra Madre" in Ren'ai Jiao has long been corroded and has no power at all, and it is basically a "turtle in an urn". The "Theresa Magbanua" at Senbin Reef is different, as it is the largest and most advanced coast guard ship in service with its own power and can maneuver. In addition, the ship also has a helicopter take-off and landing platform, which can easily take off and land helicopters, and even theoretically has the ability to "replenish in the air".
In addition, the "Sierra Madre" itself is already in very bad condition, and we can wait for it to disintegrate on its own. And this "Theresa Magbanua" is in good condition, the hull is very new and will not disintegrate on its own. Therefore, on the whole, this "Theresa Magbanua" is more difficult to deal with than the "Sierra Madre" at Second Thomas Shoal! It is also worth noting that during the period when the "Theresa Magbanua" was illegally stranded at Sembin Reef, the ship was not "idle", and it carried out illegal activities on many occasions, and even carried out coral reef observations. Some analysts pointed out that it is very likely that the ship was observing the reef of Xianbin Reef, and after choosing a good position, it might repeat its old tricks and drive an old ship to the shallows of Xianbin Reef, once again repeating the so-called "beaching" scandal!
Now, however, under the "keen eyes" of our coast guard, the Philippines' plot is doomed to fail. According to the public response of our coast guard, we have carried out the whole process of supervision and control of the personnel and materials of the Philippine coast guard ship 9701 that was illegally stranded in Xianbin Reef. Obviously, these "small actions" of the Philippines are all under the strict control of our coast guard, and in fact, they cannot make any waves at all. China has always adhered to the principle of "shelving disputes and joint development" and hopes to resolve the contradictions with the Philippines in a peaceful manner. However, if the Philippines insists on going its own way and is obsessed, then we don't mind having another "axe man".
