Since the construction of "four good rural roads", our county has taken "safe housing and benefiting the people, rural tourism, rural pastoral, and service industry" as a template, and implemented four major projects: upgrading the road network, accessibility to natural villages, improving road conditions, and improving transportation services, and established a three-level road chief system at the county, township, and village levels, so as to promote the normalization, standardization, institutionalization, and standardization of rural road construction, management, maintenance, and transportation.
Since 2021, the county has completed a total investment of 580 million yuan, ranking first in the city, completed 115 bridges, ranked first in the city, and completed 245 kilometers of newly reconstructed rural roads, ranking second in the city. The mileage of rural roads in the county has reached 3,600 kilometers, and the highway density has reached 138.3 kilometers per 100 square kilometers. The proportion of county and township roads above the third level of roads reached 28%, the regular maintenance rate reached 100%, and the proportion of medium roads or above reached 86.5%. The rate of hardened roads and buses in organized villages has reached 100%. "Going out of the cement road, out of the village asphalt road, the whole area of buses, Chang'an, Shumei green" has become a beautiful scenery in the vast countryside, and the star-studded "four good rural roads" have become the county's leading beautiful rural construction, serving the county's economic development, and improving the quality of life of the people. In March 2023, X007 Taishi Line Highway was named "Beautiful Rural Road" by Nanyang Municipal Transportation Bureau. The comprehensive work ranked fourth in the city, and was commended as an "advanced collective" by the Nanyang City Urban Construction and Transportation Leading Group.
Focusing on consolidating the "two links" and improving the structure of the rural road network, our county has continued to implement the "100 counties through the village group" smooth project, life safety protection project, dangerous bridge reconstruction project and water damage disaster restoration projects. A total of 394 roads of 476.67 kilometers of smooth road hardening, 94 convenient bridges of 3765 linear meters, 36 dangerous bridges of 1736 linear meters, 48.55 kilometers of safety protection projects, and more than 12 highway stations have been constructed, opening up a new model of rural revitalization and all-for-one tourism combining and promoting each other.
Our county organically combines the creation of "four good rural roads" with the promotion of rural revitalization, human settlements, all-for-one tourism, and industrial development, and formulates the "Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the High-quality Development of "Four Good Rural Roads" in Nanzhao County" and the "Implementation Plan for Nanzhao County to Create a Provincial Demonstration County of "Four Good Rural Roads", and organizes county development and reform, transportation, finance, agriculture and rural areas, rural revitalization and other departments and township governments to work together and promote them as a whole. The construction of "four good rural roads" will be included in the annual target assessment of townships and relevant departments, and the townships and towns with the first, second and third prizes of the comprehensive evaluation results will be given general praise and bonus incentives respectively, and the townships and towns that are not effective in promoting and lagging behind in progress will be criticized in a circular manner. Since 2021, a total of 580 million yuan of construction funds have been sought.
