In order to raise the awareness of children and adolescents about obesity and help children and adolescents improve their awareness of nutrition and health, on the afternoon of June 12, 2024, the Fangshan District Health Commission and the Fangshan District Center for Disease Control and Prevention invited Dr. Lu Li, a well-known clinical nutrition expert, chief physician, master's tutor, and popular science writer, to enter Liangxiang No. 2 Primary School to give a lecture on dietary guidelines for obesity among children and adolescents, and more than 100 teachers and students participated in the lecture.

Dr. Lu Li started the lecture by introducing the causes and harms of obesity in children and adolescents. It focuses on how to master nutrition to make children and adolescents reach the weight standard. Dr. Lu Li also mentioned that children and adolescents should maintain a reasonable dietary structure in terms of diet, and make small portions and varied, chew slowly and swallow slowly, and be full at eight minutes. It is recommended that the daily diet of children and adolescents can be matched according to the balanced diet of different age groups to ensure sufficient water and exercise, so as to prevent the occurrence of obesity in adolescents and children.

After the lecture, the staff of the Fangshan District Center for Disease Control and Prevention distributed more than 400 bookmarks, more than 100 leaflets for foodborne diseases, and more than 100 post-it notes to teachers and students.

The lecture was enthusiastic and the teachers and students were highly motivated, which not only made the students realize the importance of obesity prevention and control, but also improved their awareness of health and nutrition.
