At the 2023 National Science and Technology Award Conference held recently, four key technology leading institutions in Silicon Alley in Dongcheng District won the National Science and Technology Award.

The "Key Technologies and Applications of the 'Shenhai No. 1' Ultra-Deepwater Atmospheric Field Development Project" led by CNOOC Limited won the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award.

Shenhai No. 1 is the first self-operated ultra-deepwater gas field in mainland China, and it is the deepest water depth and the most difficult offshore gas field to explore and develop independently discovered by mainland China so far. The key facilities of the "Shenhai No. 1" ultra-deepwater gas field project include one 100,000-ton semi-submersible production and storage platform, 16 polyester mooring cables and 6 steel catenary risers, more than 200 kilometers of submarine pipelines and 11 deepwater natural gas development wells. Its completion marks a historic leap from 300 meters of deep water to 1,500 meters of ultra-deep water in the mainland's independent offshore oil and gas development capacity, and solves key technical problems such as the construction and assembly of super-large tonnage structures, the long-term safe service of dynamic pipelines and cables, and the safe and efficient drilling and completion.

The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge cross-sea cluster project, designed and led by CCCC Public Planning Institute, was awarded the first prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award.

The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge is currently the world's largest bridge, island and tunnel cluster project, and its tunnel project is the world's longest and deepest immersed tunnel, as well as the first offshore immersed tunnel in the mainland, with complex technology and great innovation. As the leading design unit and research unit of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge cross-sea cluster project, CCCC Public Planning Institute has played a key core role in the innovation and progress of engineering design technology for 15 years. The "Common Key Technologies and Standard Systems for Digital Twin Operation and Maintenance Control of Complex Equipment" participated by China Electronics Standardization Institute won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award.

China Electronics Standardization Institute, together with 7 units including Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, has established a digital twin theory and standard system for complex equipment based on digital twins, and has developed a series of software systems and devices for digital twin operation and maintenance control, which are used in the operation and maintenance control control of aerospace equipment, engineering equipment, logistics equipment and other important equipment in China. It has effectively promoted the transformation and improvement of complex equipment in the mainland from periodic operation and maintenance to predictive operation and maintenance.

Facing the national strategic needs of building a transportation power, the project has carried out systematic in-depth research on the intelligent perception and active control technology of highway traffic status, broken through a number of technical problems, formed a complete set of technologies and system equipment to support the intelligent operation and control of expressways, and promoted and applied them on a large scale, and realized technological breakthroughs such as intelligent perception, accurate identification, and active control of expressway traffic status. The results have supported major demonstration projects such as the pilot project for the construction of a transportation power, the new generation of national traffic control network and the demonstration of smart highways, greatly improved the efficiency and safety level of highway traffic, and achieved significant social and economic benefits.
