On April 19, the 2024 "Bordeaux Fun 100 Awards", hosted by the CIVB, the joint committee of the Bordeaux wine industry, came to an end. After two days of blind tasting of more than 300 wines, 100 Bordeaux dry reds, dry whites, sweet whites, rosés and sparkling wines that meet the taste preferences of Chinese consumers and are suitable for various scenarios finally stood out and assembled into the latest "Bordeaux Fun 100" wine list. The diversity and quality of Bordeaux wines are reflected in this wine list, as well as a new Bordeaux tasting guide for distributors and consumers.

The wine is colorful
Classic terroirs bloom with new flavors
Steeped in a legendary terroir and a long winemaking tradition, Bordeaux is particularly famous for its outstanding red wines, but the appellation of this region is much more than that. Bordeaux has always had a wide range of different wine colours, but now with the participation of the younger generation of winemakers, they continue to innovate in cultivation and winemaking techniques, and continue to get closer to consumers in the market, making Bordeaux wines more diverse in style.
In 2022, the CIVB, the joint committee of the Bordeaux wine industry, launched the "Bordeaux Colorful" series of activities in China, representing 8 typical styles of Bordeaux wines in 8 colors, aiming to showcase the diversity of Bordeaux wines to the Chinese market and help consumers easily find their favorite wines.
As a highlight of the series, the 2024 "Bordeaux Fun 100" and the promotion activities around the award-winning wines, closely following the 8 color themes, will further showcase the richness of Bordeaux wines and invite dealers and consumers to taste the renewal of Bordeaux.

Professionally selected, witness the colorful flavors
The 2024 "Colorful 100 Selection" lasted for two days, divided into two rounds of preliminary evaluation and re-evaluation. More than 300 Bordeaux wines are available on the Chinese market. The judging team was led by Julien Boulard MW, Master of Wine, plus 3 professional judges, Xing Wei, Cao Kai, Liu Ling, famous wine lecturers and official Bordeaux certified lecturers, and 3 influential KOL judges in the consumer field: Golden Moo Award 2023 Wine KOL, Chen Zhuoer @Hushang Wine Uncle & Uncle Chao with 500,000 followers on the whole network, France's highest agricultural meritorious knight/WSET level 4/wine writer and lecturer Lin Dianli @Wine critic Lin Dianli, Huang Hua, a well-known food, wine, travel lifestyle blogger and blogger with more than 2 million followers on Weibo/Xiaohongshu, @Serena suitcase.

Many people mistakenly think that Bordeaux is a more extreme region – either producing ultra-high-end, strong-bodied, ageing potential or making very affordable, slightly lighter, everyday wines. In fact, there is a colorful world between these two ends, and the most representative should be the "rounded" red wine represented by the slopes of Bordeaux!

Taste the Colours:
Bordeaux wine events are in full swing!
In the coming months, Bordeaux wines will be deeply involved in the Chinese market, with consumers and distributors at the core, carrying out a series of diversified activities, presenting the brand image of "Bordeaux Colorful" in all aspects, and at the same time helping importers to increase product awareness and increase sales.
From May 24th to June 23rd, Bordeaux Wine was promoted in Beijing for a month: the Bordeaux Wine Festival. 80 bars, restaurants and wine boutiques in Beijing will participate in the Bordeaux wine promotion, as well as events such as the Bordeaux Wine Market.
In October, the Bordeaux Wine Tasting will return to Shanghai, offering an immersive interactive experience and a colourful presentation for wine importers and professionals to experience the extraordinary charm of Bordeaux wines up close. These include the 2024 Bordeaux Fun 100 Awards, a consumer party in Shanghai with the theme of the 2024 "Bordeaux Fun 100 Selection" award-winning wines, as well as a series of large-scale supermarket and e-commerce promotions.
From 23 to 27 October, Hong Kong's most important annual wine and wine festival for consumers, the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Parade will kick off, allowing consumers to experience the best of Bordeaux through the Bordeaux Wine School booth, the Bordeaux Wine Region Pavilion and the booths of Bordeaux wine importers.
At the same time, from October 25th to 27th, the Bordeaux X CRUSH Wine Festival will once again be held in Shanghai's popular shopping mall "Xintiandi Fashion I".

Founded in 1948, the Bordeaux Wine Industry Joint Commission represents more than 5,300 winemakers, more than 300 wine dealers and 77 brokers in Bordeaux.
