[Yu Zhihua, a role model in the new era of art]
Mr. Yu Zhihua was born in 1947 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, and is a native of Shilongshan. National first-class artist; Member of Chinese Calligraphers Association; Member of the Chinese Artists Association; Member of China Couplet Society; Honorary Dean of the School of Painting and Calligraphy, National Palace Museum, Taiwan, and a lifelong visiting professor; Chief Artist of the World Science, Education, Culture and Health, Executive Committee Member; Ph.D. supervisor, Department of Fine Arts, University of Oxford, UK. In the 70s of the last century, he was trained by Professor Zhu Lesan of the China Academy of Fine Arts, Zhou Changgu and Mr. Yu Rentian. Calligraphy and painting are Sha Menghai, Tang Yun, Lu Yanshao, Zhu Heng, and Guo Zhong selected the teachings as private ladies and disciples. "Chunjiang Xiaojing" was inscribed by General Zhang Aiping and Wang Bomin, Kong Zhongqi, Shu Chuanxi, Liu Jiang, Tong Zhongtao, Lu Kunfeng, Zeng Mi, Wu Shanming, Shanghai Shi Nanchi, Nanjing Lin Sanzhi, Chen Dayu, Beijing Zhou Erfu and other titles, and later built Lujing Mountain's "Xingsu Book House" (inscribed by Sha Menghai, Tang Yun, Liu Yi, and devoted to learning for more than ten years. Mr. Yu Zhihua is a personality calligrapher and painter, and his life creed: you must not be arrogant, but you must be arrogant!
At present, he is the honorary president of the Chinese Culture and Art Society, a member of the China Artists Association, a national first-class artist, and a consultant of the Shanghai Calligraphy Association.
