The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a yellow warning for heavy rain at 10 a.m. on July 2:

It is expected that from 14 o'clock on July 2 to 14 o'clock on the 3rd, there will be heavy to heavy rain in western and northern Guangxi, southeastern Guizhou, southern Hunan, northern Jiangxi, southern Jiangsu and Anhui, northeast Hebei, Liaoning, central and eastern Jilin, as well as Xinjiang along the Tianshan Mountains, western Sichuan Basin, western and southeastern Yunnan, among them, there are heavy rainstorms (100~130 mm) in eastern Liaoning, northwest Sichuan Basin, northwest Guangxi and other places. Some of the above areas are accompanied by short-term heavy precipitation (the maximum hourly rainfall is 30~50 mm, and can exceed 60 mm locally), and there are strong convective weather such as thunderstorms and strong winds locally.

It is expected that from 14 o'clock on July 2 to 14 o'clock on the 3rd, there will be thunderstorms with strong winds or hail above level 8 in parts of central Inner Mongolia, eastern Liaoning, western Xinjiang, eastern Shandong, southern Anhui, southern Hunan, central and northern Jiangxi, western and northeastern Guangxi; Some areas in southeastern Inner Mongolia, southern Jilin, northwest and eastern Liaoning, northern Xinjiang, southern Gansu, north-central Shanxi, northeastern Hebei, eastern Tianjin, southern Hunan, north-central Jiangxi, north-central Sichuan, southeastern Guizhou, southwestern and eastern Yunnan, Guangxi, northern Guangdong, southwestern Fujian and other places will have short-term heavy precipitation with hourly rainfall greater than 20 mm, among which, the local hourly rainfall in southeastern Guizhou, western Guangxi and other places is greater than 50 mm, and the maximum can reach more than 70 mm.

The main impact period of severe convection is expected to be from this afternoon to night.

1. The government and relevant departments shall make preparations for short-term rainstorm, lightning and strong winds in accordance with their duties, and the meteorological department shall prepare for artificial hail prevention operations;
