Recently, the police in the province of Pisa, Tuscany, dismantled an illegal Chinese prostitution ring.
According to Italy's "Corriere della Sera", in 2023, the Pisa Provincial Police noticed that strange men frequently entered and exited a local apartment, so they launched a special investigation.
Upon closer inspection, police suspected that there was a sex trade in the apartment. Then, a Chinese illegal prostitution ring surfaced.
The gang posted advertisements and phone calls for prostitution through the Internet. The police pretended to be a client and called a 40-year-old Chinese woman, who provided detailed information, including the service, the cost, and the location.
As a result, the police discovered two illegal prostitution establishments controlled by the gang. All visitors are male and of all ages.

The two prostitution sites have an average of about 15 customers per day and charge an average of 50 euros. "Regular customers" receive a discount with a minimum of 30 euros. Services with "special requests" can cost up to 100 euros or more.
The gang has a monthly turnover of 45,000 euros and receives an average of 1,500 to 2,000 calls per month, and customers are constantly asking if there are "new people".
The police found that most of the women who provided prostitution services were Chinese living in northern Italy, mainly in the Milan area. When they arrive in the province of Pisa, they usually stay in these two prostitution sites for 10 days. If it is well received by local customers, it will stay for 15 days. Rotations are made thereafter to keep the regulars fresh.
The owner of the apartment where the gang was located was a 65-year-old local man. Not only is he fully aware of the illegal activities taking place in the apartment, but he is also responsible for assessing "newcomers" and responding to customer inquiries, sometimes drawing "oil and water" from them.
Another 60-year-old local man was in charge of "logistics", helping to buy basic necessities, and even bought 400 condoms at once.

With the use of hidden cameras and telephone interception, the police recently took action to seal down two illegal prostitution establishments.
The Chinese woman accused of being the mastermind of the gang has been imprisoned, and two other local men have been placed under house arrest on suspicion of involvement in the crime.
