It is reported that the Xianyou County Rural Revitalization Research Institute is jointly established by the Xianyou County Government, Fuzhou University and Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, and hires experts in related fields as the president and chief planner of the institute to provide professional consultation, talent training and experience summary for the rural revitalization work of Xianyou County, and has become a new think tank and intelligence introduction platform for the county to promote the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy. The ecological fermentation bed breeding technology introduced by the institute is an environmentally friendly, safe and effective breeding model, which is mainly used in the chicken industry to promote the development of courtyard economy.
On the same day, the delegation walked into the ecological fermentation bed chicken coop built by the research institute, and saw more than a dozen chicks foraging and drinking water, without the unpleasant smell of ordinary chicken coops (as shown in the picture). Jiang Luzhou, director of the ecological division of the institute, introduced that the fermentation bed chicken technology is a chicken raising method based on the principle of microbial fermentation. A certain thickness of litter is laid in the chicken coop, and the local microbial flora is placed in the litter, and the chicks live directly on the bedding bed, and the manure is automatically decomposed without manual manure removal. "The main 'mystery' of this technology is in the chicken coop bedding, which are common rice husks and tea oil husks in rural areas, and the chicken manure will be decomposed by various fermentation bacteria in the bedding when it lands, so it will not produce odors." Jiang Luzhou said.
According to reports, the fermentation bed chicken technology can reduce the discharge of wastewater and make the chicken house odorless. And the chicken coop is generally fully open, with good ventilation, and the temperature and humidity are suitable for the growth of chickens. Previously, under the professional guidance and technical support of the Research Institute, Bangtou Town selected 20 villages and chicken farms as pilot units in combination with the improvement and treatment of rural domestic sewage, successfully promoted the ecological fermentation bed breeding technology, and effectively improved the local rural living environment.
The visiting group praised the obvious advantages of this breeding method, and hoped to introduce technology into small family breeding to solve the contradiction between rural environmental improvement and pollution caused by chicken and duck raising, so as to achieve the combination of dredging and blocking.
