On July 2, the reporter walked into the production workshop of Zigong Tongfarong New Materials Co., Ltd. located in Fushun County (formerly Fushun Sugar Factory), a piece of equipment emitted a rhythmic roar, the workers performed their duties, under their skillful operation, lithium salt materials through acidification, neutralization, filtration, dehydration, drying, testing and other production processes to produce lithium carbonate, which can process nearly 100 tons of low-level lithium salt per day.
"This white powder is the company's product lithium carbonate, which is the cathode material used in lithium iron phosphate batteries for new energy vehicles." The general manager of the company told reporters. Zigong Tongfarong New Materials Co., Ltd. is one of the earliest enterprises engaged in the high-value comprehensive utilization of waste power batteries in China, and is a provincial-level "specialized, special and new" small and medium-sized enterprise and high-tech enterprise. Lithium carbonate is the key raw material of lithium battery, the company's waste lithium iron phosphate sheet/powder high-value comprehensive utilization production line adopts independent research and development technology, with the characteristics of short process route, low cost and high product quality, which is at the leading level in China.
Innovation leads to development
The first motivation. The company attaches great importance to technological innovation, introduces high-end technical talents, and has more than 10 years of experience in lithium extraction and treatment of various technical lithium wastes. Now it has R&D platforms such as Zigong Enterprise Technology Center, Zigong Small and Medium-sized Enterprise R&D Institutions, Science and Technology Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, Zigong Intellectual Property Pilot Enterprises, Sichuan University of Light Chemical Technology, and Sichuan University Science and Technology Cooperation Laboratory. At present, 51 patents have been applied for, and 39 have been authorized. Products are exported to Russia, Japan, South Korea, India, Pakistan and other countries.
Since the beginning of this year, the company has achieved automatic operation of equipment, further improved production efficiency, steadily improved product quality, and increased the main content from 99.2% of industrial grade to more than 99.5% of battery grade.
