At the same time, Rebecca Dong has been appointed General Manager of Greater China Operations. Based in Beijing, Charles Liu is responsible for developing and leading Believe's revenue growth strategy in Greater China, with a focus on advancing the Group's premium services and M&A strategy. In this role, Charles Liu also focuses on expanding Believe's lineup of artists and labels, as well as building high-quality relationships with local digital services partners, providing them with the best opportunities for digital growth and audience engagement at all stages of their careers. Rebecca Dong is responsible for the implementation of the Greater China strategy, including managing all operations, streaming platform partnerships, finance, legal and human resources matters, and reporting to Charles Liu. Sylvain Delange, President, Asia Pacific, Believe, said: "Greater China is a market that is both exciting and challenging, and Believe's unique approach can significantly accelerate the rise of a strong, diverse and thriving local music ecosystem in Greater China, just as we have done in other markets in the region. "With Charles' long-term and successful career rooted in the local music ecosystem, and Rebecca's strong leadership in operations, we are in the best position to drive Believe's continued expansion in Greater China." "Believe has been operating in Greater China since 2016 and was one of the first companies to sign an agreement with a local streaming platform and has significantly accelerated its growth and investment in recent years. With a team of more than 80 digital music experts in Greater China, the Group has offices in 5 cities, serving more than 250 artists and 300 labels. Believe has fully deployed its blueprint strategy locally, which includes investing as the market matures and digital monetization capabilities improve, and the company is uniquely positioned to capitalize on the region's significant growth potential. Today, Greater China is the world's fifth-largest music market, with the fastest revenue growth in 2023 and a relatively low penetration rate of paid music subscribers compared to its population. Looking ahead, China's streaming market is expected to grow by more than 120% between 2022 and 2030, driving the rise of digital-friendly music genres such as hip-hop and the emergence of chart-topping artists such as rapper Capper and singer Young Captain. Charles Liu, General Manager of Greater China at Believe, added: "I am very excited to join Believe in the dynamic and challenging music market in Greater China. I am eager to use my professional skills to help and create opportunities for more talented artists and their masterpieces, thereby contributing to the prosperity and development of the music market in Greater China. "With over 20 years of experience in the entertainment and music industry, Charles Liu is a seasoned professional in the field. He has held key positions in previous roles such as managing Avex Taiwan International (1998-2002), Rolling Stone Records China Artist Director (2010-2012), General Manager of Fumao Records China (2014-2015), and YY.com Girl Idol Group Director (2015-2017). Prior to joining Believe, he was the General Manager of Sony Music's local business in China. Rebecca Dong, General Manager of Greater China Operations at Believe, added: "This is a great time for the music industry in Greater China, and I am excited to join Believe for the next phase of growth in the region – one that will undoubtedly lead to the rise of a new generation of talented music practitioners, artists and labels. "With a focus on operations, business development and general management, Rebecca Dong has over 20 years of management experience in internationally renowned companies across multiple industries. Prior to joining Believe, she spent more than 3 years as COO at Siyanli (MBKP portfolio company), 4 years as Vice President of Greater China at Nielsen, and 7 years as General Manager at EF.
