Home is not only a place to live, but also a display of personality and taste. The 135-square-meter self-built house I designed is a testament to my dedication to quality of life. The original four-bedroom unit, considering the living needs of a family of three in the future, I adjusted it to a three-bedroom, upgraded the two bedrooms to an ensuite with a bathroom, and expanded the children's room to the toilet, which increased the practicality; The smallest one is used as a guest room.
Coming from a design background, I put a lot of effort into every detail. The design of the horizontal hall makes the space more transparent, and natural light fully shines into every corner of the home. Although the decoration budget has gradually "swelled" from 350,000 to 450,000, all the investment is worth it when it sees the final result.
In the process, I also realized that the perfect home environment is not about endless pursuit and imitation, but based on one's own lifestyle and preferences. I firmly believe that only by not blindly following the trend and creating a personalized and comfortable space according to your own ideas can it be called "home". Today, while there are small details that are still regrettable, I believe that these imperfections will also become insignificant over time.

In this well-laid out home, each room carries different emotions and functions. The kitchen is the heart of the home, and I have adopted a practical U-shaped design to improve the efficiency of cooking and facilitate interaction between family members.
The bedroom is an intimate space for rest and relaxation, and I chose soothing tones and comfortable bedding to ensure that every night is accompanied by a sweet dream. The colours and layout of the children's room are more creative and vibrant to stimulate children's imagination and exploration.
Although the renovation process was challenging and there were many unexpected expenses, I felt a sense of accomplishment every time I saw this home full of character and warmth. It's not just a physical space, it's a reflection of my emotional sustenance and attitude towards life.
