Remember last year's "Farojo" (France original musical Romeo and Juliet) that made many fans of musicals flock to it? This summer, another original musical from France is about to land at the Qintai Grand Theater to stage the shocking "Humans Save the World".
Jimu News reporter learned from the Qintai Grand Theater that in order to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, on July 19th and 20th, the original French musical "Noah's Ark" will be performed in Han, which is the sixth stop of the play's first Chinese tour.
Noah's Ark is inspired by European legends and tells the story of how "Noah" built the ark to save the world in ancient times.
On the evening of the 16th, the cast and crew of the play came to the Alliance Française of Wuhan University to interact with the audience in advance, and when introducing the origin of the creation, Essaï Altounian, a famous France artist, music producer, and also the producer of "Noah's Ark", script writing, music creation and the actor of "Noah" in the play, mentioned that the creation of "Noah's Ark" was an accident, when he took his two daughters to climb the mountain together, "standing on the top of the mountain and looking at the land under his feet, I wanted to create a work that contemplated man and nature, faith and destiny, life and hope. ”

In 2021, "Noah's Ark" was born in France, after the premiere, the play was performed 60 times, tickets were sold as high as 110,000 copies, and the musical album sold more than 40,000 copies, achieving a high reputation in France, and this time in China, many musical fans also came to Essaï Altounian - it turned out that he was also the actor of the important role "Count Paris" in "Romeo and Juliet", and also starred in many classic musicals including "Sun King" and "Les Miserables". In an interview with Jimu News reporters at the scene, some viewers mentioned that they came for Essaï Altounian's singing.
With a grand sense of epic to show the theme of building a community with a shared future for mankind, "Noah's Ark" also brought a large number of "animals" to the stage - giraffes and elephants with huge sizes, cute pandas, and majestic and brave lions...... And they are also important characters in the play.
At the press conference, the audience asked Essaï Altounian curiously: Why did you choose the panda to "board the ship"? Essaï Altounian sincerely replied that the panda was chosen because Noah's Ark accepts "the animals of the whole planet", "Pandas not only represent China, but because of the friendly exchanges between China and France, France people can also see pandas on their own soil, and children love them very much." ”
He mentioned that in the play, he gave the panda on board a "magnolia" name, "Actually, this is also a flower from China, and I think this name is very beautiful and cute." ”
