On the basis of classic excerpts from famous excerpts such as "But Xi", "Inscription", and "Aftertaste", "Peach Blossom Fan · 1699" is screened and deleted according to the plot trend of the original work, removing the turnips and retaining the essence, intercepting the most intense points of dramatic conflict in the key folds, grabbing the most representative fragments of the characters, and closely arranging and combining large and small scenes, through the smooth stage rhythm, making the dramatic tension explode more concentrated and intense, and also better showing Kong Shangren's theme of "telling the sense of rise and fall through the feelings of detachment". The play is compact and has a strong dramatic tension. Director Tian Qinxin uses a large number of contemporary "theatrical language" to interpret the interpretation of traditional Chinese Kunqu Opera, which fascinates audiences even who have never seen a Kunqu Opera performance in a second.

Synopsis
"Peach Blossom Fan" is a historical drama that reflects the rise and fall of the Southern Ming Dynasty through the love story of Hou Fangyu, a literati from the late Ming Dynasty, and Li Xiangjun, a famous prostitute in Qinhuai.
Hou Fangyu met Li Xiangjun in the old courtyard of Nanjing, and got engaged together, and Ruan Dacheng, the remnant of the eunuch party, learned that Hou Fangyu was short of money, so he secretly gave a dowry to win over Hou Fangyu and make friends with the Restoration Society. Xiangjun saw through Ruan Dacheng's trap and resolutely returned the makeup. Ruan Dacheng falsely accused Hou Fangyu of secretly colluding with Zuo Liangyu to betray the imperial court, forcing him to flee Nanjing.
After Chongzhen hanged himself, Ma Shiying and Ruan Dacheng supported King Fu in Nanjing and regained power. They forced Xiangjun to remarry the henchman Tian Yang, and Xiangjun swore to die, and the blood spattered the love poetry fan. Friend Yang Longyou dyed the blood stains on the fan into a broken branch peach blossom, known as the peach blossom fan.
