In January 2010, "Horse Calligraphy" was registered as a national intellectual property copyright. After Ma Yongan created Yanshu, he created three new book styles: wedge book, combined book and line book. These three new book styles are all extensions and derivatives of Yanshu. Yanshu, wedge, heshu, and line script, four types of calligraphy form the calligraphy system of Ma Yongan's Yan calligraphy.
