In the 385th batch of new product announcements of "Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Product Announcements", there are not only the two models of SAIC Maxus Interstellar X diesel version that we have reported yesterday, but also the EV version of Interstellar X. The model has dual motors and is a pure electric four-wheel drive pickup truck.

The Interstellar X EV version is equipped with two electric motors, model TZ180XS0951 and TZ230XY1301, produced by United Automotive Electronics Co., Ltd. and Huayu Automotive Electric Systems Co., Ltd., with a peak power of 138 kW and 216 kW respectively, for a total of 354 kW! This data is among the best in the pure electric four-wheel drive pickup trucks that have been exposed. This is a very powerful and one of the best all-electric pickup trucks. In terms of battery, the interstellar X pure electric version is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery produced by Times SAIC Power Battery Co., Ltd.

The body size of the Interstellar X EV version is basically the same as that of the diesel version of the model already reported yesterday, with a length of 5500/5630mm, a width of 2005mm, a height of 1860/1874mm, and a cargo box size of 1561mm long, 1610/1510mm, and 535mm high. Like the diesel model, the Interstellar X EV is also a wide-body, large pickup truck with a very large cabin size and a cargo box that is only a regular standard box. The Interstellar X EV version will also have a very comfortable and spacious ride.

In terms of appearance, the biggest difference between the Star X EV version and the Star Diesel version is that the front grille is different. The front grille of the diesel version has a gem-cut dot matrix style, which has a great visual impact. As a pure electric pickup, it does not need the front grille to have an exhaust function, so it is covered with a white rectangular decorative plate, consistent with the body color style, surrounded by a circle of through-type light strip decoration, and the rear of the car also has a through-type taillight design. The whole body presents a boxy and rigid shape. The overall shape is more like the GST concept pickup truck previously exposed by SAIC Maxus, with the same style.

The Interstellar X EV version has a trailer qualification, and the total trailer mass reaches about 3.5T. The tyre rules for new cars are 265/65R18, 275/55R20. The approach and departure angles are 29/25, 29/15.

Written at the end: SAIC Maxus Star X EV Edition has a very powerful dual motor, spacious and comfortable cabin space, and will become a strong competitor in the pure electric four-wheel drive pickup. The appearance of the new car is quite similar to the previously revealed SAIC Maxus GST concept pickup, and it is not yet known how the two are related.
