Yan Shanchun, born in 1934, is a native of Dalian, Liaoning Province. He graduated from the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in 1958, and entered the Shanghai Fine Arts Film Studio in the same year, where he served as animation designer, art designer, director, etc., and participated in the creation of many films such as "Havoc in the Heavenly Palace", "The Shepherd Flute", "Nezha in the Sea" and "The Golden Monkey Descends the Demon". Alone or co-directed more than ten animated films such as "Old Wolf Treats", "Net", "The Adventures of the Sloppy King" (with Qian Yunda), "Landscape Love" (with Tewei and Ma Xuan), "Desert Wind" (with Yao Guanghua) and so on.
