Sotheby's Salon

The journey begins at Sotheby's Salon on the ground floor, bringing art and luxury retail to a whole new level. Designed to cater to today's multi-disciplinary collecting trend, the space is divided into seven salons in five zones, showcasing more than 200 pieces from around the world spanning 80 million years of civilization, ranging from HK$5,000 to HK$50 million for immediate collection.

Each salon has its own unique curation, condensing the wisdom and aesthetic perspectives of different worlds, presenting a surprising cross-border collision. It includes dinosaur fossils, jewelry, African art, sneakers, classical Western drawings and designs to cater to the diverse tastes of today's collectors. The flagship gallery features an open-plan design with a penetrating space and a spacious, light-filled glass porch that seamlessly connects the existing stand-alone shops and embellishes them with epic art. Sotheby's classic blue and gold tones are used throughout the salons on the first floor.

Exhibition space

A staircase that acts as a transition leads visitors to the basement level of the gallery, from the hustle and bustle of the city to the hidden exhibition area. Compared with the bright and open design on the first floor, the underground presents a magnificent spatial secret, echoing the Taoist concept of change. Inspired by the stone offering stones, which are revered by Chinese culture, the underground space emphasizes the concept of balance, continuous adaptation and change between man and nature, which coincides with the concept of ecological and environmental protection that is valued in contemporary society. The stone offering embodies Taoist thought and is the inspiration for this immersive space, which connects the past and the present. The Grotto Gallery is centrally flanked by the Pantheon and Sanctum galleries, each decorated in deep burgundy and charcoal wood. The building is 6 meters high, and the ceiling is staggered, creating a delicate valley on the stone, with sudden ups and downs. The three spaces will host museum-quality exhibitions, art performances, and previews of major auctions.

"The design principles of the flagship gallery are not only a vision, but also a philosophical interpretation of sustainability, reflecting the synchronization of art with the times. Through an avant-garde curatorial concept, we present contemporary art performances and unique events to present visitors with an artistic experience that pushes the boundaries of boundaries. ”
