In 1673, that is, in the twelfth lunar month of the twelfth year of Kangxi, Wu Sangui, the king of Pingxi, rebelled after killing Zhu Guozhi, the governor of Yunnan. With lightning speed, it quickly occupied Yunnan, Guizhou and Hunan, and had already entered Sichuan, and the officials of Sichuan also surrendered to Wu Sangui. In addition, Han officials in Fujian, Guangdong, Shaanxi, Henan and other places also attached themselves to Wu Sangui.
Immediately after Wu Sangui, Geng Jingzhong, King of Jingnan, Shang Kexi, King of Pingnan, and Sun Yanling, the son-in-law of Kong Youde, King of Dingnan, echoed Wu Sangui, and the "Rebellion of the Three Feudatories" had seriously threatened the Qing Dynasty. Kangxi quickly sent various armies south to quell the rebellion, and for a time the capital was empty, and there was no army available.
At the same time, the northern part of the Qing Dynasty was also unstable, and King Burni of Chahar felt that the time had come for the Chahar tribe to break away from the Qing Dynasty. After a series of preparations, Burney finally officially launched his army in the third lunar month of the 14th year of Kangxi, preparing to capture the capital when the capital was empty and get rid of Kangxi and the Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang. At the same time, Burnie wants to rescue his father, Abu Nai, who is imprisoned by Kangxi and cannot be freed.
At such an urgent time, the Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang recommended to Kangxi the scholar Tuhai (the cousin of the Rong Concubine Ma Jia), and Tuhai quickly quelled the rebellion of King Chahar with 10,000 family slaves.
Chahar King Burni and his younger brother died on the battlefield, and as for Burnni's father Abu Nai, who was bent on rescuing, he was also hanged by Kangxi's order
And the reason why Abu Nai was imprisoned by Kangxi was also because he refused to sincerely surrender to the Qing Dynasty, and he was cut off by Kangxi and imprisoned in Shengjing without paying tribute for many years. But Kangxi still passed the title of Chahar King to Abu Nai's son Burnni, but what Kangxi didn't expect was that Burni had the same idea as his father and was always looking for an opportunity to rebel against the Qing Dynasty.
Speaking of Burnny's father, Abu Nai, he was a very special presence in the early Manchu Qing Dynasty:
He is the eleventh son of Huang Taiji Prince Xiang Bomu Bogol half-brother, is the first son born to Huang Taiji Yijing Grand Concubine Borzigit, the Qing court is very kind to Abu Nai, not only let his "brother and brother" inherit the title of Chahar Wang, Huang Taiji will also marry his own princess Gulun Wenzhuang Princess Abu Nai.
Even so, Abu Nai and his son Burni still refused to truly surrender to the Qing Dynasty.
In this article, let's get to know Borzigit together. What kind of existence was Abu Nai in the early Manchu Dynasty?
01
Before Emperor Taiji officially ascended the throne as emperor and established the Great Qing Dynasty, Houjin had a very strong enemy - the Chahar king Lin Dan Khan, Lin Dan Khan was a descendant of Genghis Khan, the ancestor of the Yuan dynasty, and he had great ambitions, not only to unify the whole of Mongolia, but also to restore the hegemony of the ancestor Genghis Khan.
Lin Dan Khan inherited the throne at the age of 13, and his prestige and status in Mongolia after inheriting the throne for many years are indeed very high, so his power should not be underestimated. When the Horqin and Ao Han tribes of Mongolia were attached to Houjin, Lin Dan Khan remained unmoved, and even united with the Ming Dynasty to attack Houjin.
From the fifth year of Tiancong to the sixth year of Tiancong, Huang Taiji sent heavy troops to counterattack Lin Dan Khan's army.
Lin Dan Khan was defeated and fled, fled to Qinghai, and decided to recuperate in Qinghai to make a comeback.
However, in the eighth year of Tiancong (1634), Lin Dan Khan died of smallpox. After Lin Dan Khan died of illness, the 100,000 horses under his command fell apart, not only the Ming Dynasty was staring at Lin Dan Khan's soldiers and horses, but Huang Taiji wanted to subdue him.
Immediately, Emperor Taiji sent his fourteenth brother Dolgon, eldest son Haoge and others to Mongolia to find the whereabouts of Lin Dan Khan's widows.
And the first to take the initiative to defect to Huang Taiji, is Lin Dan Khan's fourth Fujin - Dou Tumen Fu Jin (Batma Noise), Dou Tumen Fu Jin led his own tribe to submit to Huang Taiji, Huang Taiji included it in the harem, when he was called the emperor, it was divided into the East Palace Concubine, and the status was above the West Palace Concubine Zhuang (Xiaozhuang).
In the ninth year of Tiancong (1635), Lin Dan Khan's widow Empress Dowager Nangsang and Empress Dowager Sutai took their own tribes to join Huang Taiji.
The Empress Dowager (Namu Zhong) is Lin Dan Khan's Doro Dafu Jin, ranking first among all the Fu Jin, and was included in the harem by Huang Taiji after being attached to the Houjin. When Huang Taiji ascended the throne and became emperor, the Empress Dowager Nang was named the concubine of the West Palace, second only to the Empress Zhezhe and the Concubine of the East Palace. In this way, it can be seen how much Huang Taiji attaches importance to the Queen Mother.
And the Empress Dowager Sutai was married to Huang Taiji's cousin Jierharang (Emperor Taizu's nephew). Because Jilharang's concubine Fujin is the sister of the Empress Dowager Sutai, according to Jurchen customs, Jierharang can give priority to marrying the Empress Dowager Sutai.
(The Queen Mother is called Namu Zhong below)
In fact, when Namu Zhong came to Houjin, she was already pregnant, and gave birth to her first son in Houjin, and this son was Abu Nai. And Namu Zhong had already given birth to a daughter Shuji for Lin Dan Khan when Lin Dan Khan was alive. Huang Taiji called Shuji the adopted daughter of Namu Zhong. And Namu Zhong is indeed favored by Huang Taiji, and is the only woman who shares the favor with the favored Hai Lanzhu. After Namu Zhong married Huang Taiji, she gave birth to a son and a daughter for Huang Taiji.
The daughter is Princess Gulun Duanshun, who was born in the first year of Chongde (1636), which means that Namu Zhong became pregnant again soon after giving birth to her son Abu Nai, and gave birth to the first child of Tonghuang Taiji.
The son is the eleventh son of Huang Taiji, Bomu Bogol, who was born in the sixth year of Chongde.
It was in the year of Bomu Bogol's birth that Nam Chung's first son, Abu Nai, succeeded to the title of King of Chahar.
In fact, the first Chahar king of Huang Taiji was the son of the Empress Dowager Sutai and Lin Dan Khan, and when the Empress Dowager Sutai and Ezhe returned to the Qing Dynasty, he brought a valuable gift to Huang Taiji - the treasure of the system. The treasure of the system symbolizes the imperial power, and the emperor Taiji who got the treasure of the system has the idea of being called the emperor, and in the following year, that is, in 1636, under the repeated requests of the ministers, the emperor Taiji formally established the Qing Dynasty and ascended the throne as the emperor.
And Huang Taiji also attached great importance to Ezhe and named him the Prince of Chahar.
In order to make Ezhe more loyal to Houjin, he married his second daughter, Princess Gulun Wenzhuang, who was born to Empress Xiaoduanwen, to Ezhe. In this way, Ezhe became Huang Taiji's son-in-law, and he was naturally loyal to Huang Taiji.
However, he died of illness in the sixth year of Chongde (1641), and after his death, Huang Taiji ordered Ezhe's half-brother Abu Nai to manage the affairs of the Chahar Ministry.
In fact, this year, Abu Nai was only six or seven years old.
In the second year of Shunzhi (1645), according to the custom of Mongolia brothers' marriage, Princess Gulun Wenzhuang married Abu Nai as his wife.
Abu Nai had two sons, Burni and Luo Buzang.
In the fifth year of Shunzhi, Abu Nai was awarded the position of cavalry captain by Emperor Shunzhi.
In the eighth year of Shunzhi, Abu Nai officially inherited the title of Prince Chahar at the age of sixteen or seventeen.
02
Although Abu Nai was the widow of Lin Dan Khan, Huang Taiji still took good care of him, and after the death of his half-brother Ezhe, he let him inherit the title of Prince Chahar; However, Abu Nai is not the son of Huang Taiji after all, he is the son of Lin Dan Khan, in other words, he is the descendant of Genghis Khan. When Abu Nai grew up, he slowly hated the Qing Dynasty more and more, and was angry that Huang Taiji defeated his father Khan Lin Dan Khan.
In the process, the Qing court was also unstable:
Emperor Shunzhi ascended the throne at the age of 6, and Prince Rui Dolgon held real power for many years;
After Emperor Shunzhi came into power, he not only abolished the queen, but also had a very bad relationship with his biological mother because he was dissatisfied with the arranged marriage of his biological mother Xiaozhuang, favored Concubine Dong E, and snubbed Horqinlai's concubines; Even shortly after the death of Concubine Dong E, Emperor Shunzhi died.
For this reason, Kangxi ascended the throne at the age of 8, and Aobai gradually became a big problem for Kangxi and Xiaozhuang, and finally died in the forbidden place in the eighth year of Kangxi.
After Ao Bai was removed, Kangxi was able to achieve a real pro-government.
In this way, Kangxi began to free his hands and do other things.
It was in this year that Kangxi ordered to cut off Abu Nai's title of Prince Chahar for the reason that he had not come to pay tribute for many years.
Moreover, when Emperor Shunzhi died of illness and mourning, all the Mongolia princes came to attend the funeral, but Abu Nai did not come, directly contemptuous of the Qing court. And after the death of Princess Gulun Wenzhuang in the second year of Kangxi, according to the customs of Manchuria, the princess's clothes and jewelry should be burned during her lifetime, but Abu Nai not only did not burn them, but took out these things to recruit troops and expand his power.
Before Kangxi was in power, Ao Bai was the biggest trouble.
Kangxi got rid of Ao Bai in eight years, and Kangxi and Xiaozhuang finally had time to get rid of Abu Nai. In May of this year, after Xiaozhuang conspired with Kangxi, he gave Abu Nai a holy decree: Your ancestors' graves are in Shengjing, and we are now going to Shengjing to pay tribute to them, and you should go too. In this way, Abu Nai was arrested, but Kangxi did not directly execute Abu Nai, but imprisoned him in Shengjing.
Although Abu Nai's title was cut off, Kangxi did not pass the title to others, but let Abu Nai's eldest son Burni inherit it.
Originally, Kangxi thought that this would give the Chahar Department a warning and make the new Chahar King loyal to the Qing Dynasty. However, Burnny, as the son of Abu Nai, was naturally influenced by his father and hated Daqing to the core. Coupled with the fact that his father was imprisoned and not allowed to be free, Burney naturally hated Kangxi even more.
However, Burney did not directly express his dissatisfaction with the Qing court, but waited for the opportunity to endure humiliation.
And in order to show his obedience to the imperial court, Burney paid tribute to the imperial court twice in the 11th year of Kangxi and the 14th year of Kangxi.
In order to make Bulni more loyal to the Qing Dynasty, Kangxi married the ninth daughter of Bolo, the prince of Heshuo Duanzhong, and Shuo Gege, to Bulni. Even so, it still didn't change Burney's mind.
03
In December of the twelfth year of Kangxi, Wu Sangui rebelled, and half of the Qing Dynasty fell into the hands of the three feudatories; In order to quell the rebellion as soon as possible, Kangxi sent all the soldiers and horses that could be used, so that the capital was empty. When Brni learned the news, he decided that the time had come for him to break away from the Qing Dynasty. So there is the opening scene:
Burnni, his younger brother Luo Buzang and others stepped up their time to prepare soldiers and horses, weapons, and train the soldiers and horses of the Four Banners on the right wing of Chahar;
Chahar was the commander of Jinjin and also actively supported Burnni's rebellion.
Immediately afterwards, Brni sent people to contact the Chahar left wing soldiers and horses in Xuanfu, and at the same time contacted various Mongolia princes to revolt with him against the Qing Dynasty.
Burney finally decided to officially start the army on March 25, the 14th year of Kangxi.
At this time, he was discovered by the eldest Shi Xin Zhu, who was accompanied by Princess Gulun Wenzhuang, and Xin Zhu knew the seriousness of the matter very well, so he hurriedly sent his younger brother Azigen to the capital to tell the imperial court. After Kangxi and Xiaozhuang learned about it, they decided to trick Burney and his younger brother into coming to the capital. Therefore, he sent the guard Saleng to Uiju and summoned Burnny and Luo Buzang to the capital in the name of discussing the government.
Burnny's father, Abu Nai, was deceived by Kangxi and Xiaozhuang to the capital and was arrested.
How could Burney not know that this was Kangxi's strategy, so he did not go to the capital, but arrested the guard Sileng.
On the appointed date, Bulni officially set up his troops and led thousands of people straight to Zhangjiakou to prepare to join the four banners of the Chahar left wing in Xuanfu (Chan Erji, the minister of scattered ranks, the first-class guard Ada, and the staff leader Shushilan). However, none of these three had the courage of Burnie to betray the Qing Dynasty. However, the soldiers of the Four Banners of the Left Wing of Chahar insisted on following Burni despite the dissuasion of the Minister of Sanzhi, Chan Erji.
Only two days later, Burnny's army had captured the Imperial Horse Factory and marched directly to Zhangjiakou with the ministers of the Imperial Horse Factory. At this time, all the soldiers of the Eight Banners in the capital had marched south, and the Qing court had no extra soldiers and horses to conquer Burnny.
At this critical moment, the Empress Dowager Xiaozhuang recommended the university scholar Tuhai to Kangxi.
Tuhai suggested to Kangxi that the capital Manchuria and the families of Mongolia officials be gathered together to form an army of tens of thousands and march against Bulni.
In April of that year, the army set out.
On the way, Tuhai indulged the soldiers to plunder everywhere they went; When they arrived in Chahar, Tuhai told the soldiers that Chahar had a hundred years of inheritance, and there were countless gold and silver treasures, and as long as he could destroy Bulni, he would be rich for life.
Encouraged by Tuhai, the army of the family soon broke through Burnny's position.
At the same time, Shazin, the prince of Korqin, led his troops to besiege Brni.
Burnny's younger brother Rob Zang is Shazin's brother-in-law, so he meets Shazin, saying that his brother Brni has fled, and hopes that his brother-in-law Shazin can give him some soldiers and horses to chase his brother back. Sha Jin believed that Luo Bu · Tibet, so he sent 30 people to go with him. As a result, when Robzang found his brother, they fled for their lives together.
When Shazin learned about this, he personally led his soldiers and horses to chase the two Burnie brothers and shot them on the grassland.
After the Brni Rebellion was put down, Kangxi set out to weaken the power of Chahar Mongolia:
The first thing Kangxi has to do is to execute Abu Nai, who has been imprisoned in Shengjing for many years;
Secondly, the Chahar chieftains who had rebelled with Brni were arrested;
The third is to split all the soldiers of the four banners of the left wing of Chahar who rebelled with Burni and stationed them in Henan and other places to atone for their crimes.
In this way, after not being free for many years, Abu Nai finally did not regain his freedom, and ended up being hanged.
epilogue
If it is according to the generation, Huang Taiji is Abu Nai's adoptive father and father-in-law, and Kangxi still calls Abu Nai his uncle. However, the favor of the Qing court did not exchange for Abu Nai's loyalty, but Abu Nai's ambition. In the final analysis, it is because Abu Nai is a descendant of Genghis Khan, the ancestor of the Yuan, and his father Lin Dan Khan is the former overlord of the steppe.
Many people may not understand: Namu Zhong is the widow of Lin Dan Khan, and Abu Nai is the widow of Lin Dan Khan. Could it be that Huang Taiji is so sure that Lin Dan Khan's widow will not rebel against the Qing Dynasty?
Namu Zhong's father is just a head of the Abajia Department, so Namu Zhong's background is not high, but he has become Lin Dan Khan's great blessing Jin, the head of the eight blessings, so it can be seen how much Lin Dan Khan loves Namu Zhong.
In November of the fourth year of Chongde, Mahasama Saichen Khan of the Khalkha Department of Mongolia joined the Qing Dynasty, and when Mahasama Saichen Khan came to Shengjing to meet Emperor Taiji, his two Fujin followed. The strange thing is that Mahasama Saichen Khan and the two Fu Jin directly put aside the queen of the middle palace and the concubine of the East Palace, and only presented mink and horses to the concubine Na Mu Zhong of the West Palace.
Mahasama Saichen Khan values Namu Zhong so much, obviously not because of how noble Namu Zhong's origin is, but because Namu Zhong was once the Doro Dafujin of Lin Dan Khan, Lin Dan Khan was the lord of all Mongolia, then Namu Zhong is the hostess of all Mongolia, so you can see the particularity of Namu Zhong.
This also shows the prestige and status of Lin Dan Khan in various Mongolia departments, and Abu Nai, as the son of Lin Dan Khan, how can he not know the status of his father Khan Lin Dan Khan when he grows up?
Abu Nai's brother Ezhe does not have such ambition, it does not mean that Abu Nai does not have such ambition.
It's just that the ambitions of Abu Nai and his son Burni eventually failed.
