President Meng Xianmei presided over the opening ceremony

The main venue set up the academician chairman forum and the famous forum, which attracted the participation of many authoritative experts. At the academician forum, Academician Li Zhaoshen introduced the progress in the treatment of chronic pancreatitis (CP), which currently adopts a combination of minimally invasive and surgical treatment, established the world's largest single-center prospective CP study cohort and discovered the unique lipase gene variant of Asian patients. Academician Fan Daiming emphasized the importance of reverse thinking in the growth of doctors, and put forward ten propositions and six major thinking, reverse thinking requires a comprehensive examination of the evidence, considering the reasons behind the symptoms and the rebuttal factors. Demonstrating its role in revealing the nature of disease through case studies, he encourages young doctors to question innovation, solve complex cases with reverse thinking, improve diagnostic accuracy, and improve the quality of medical care and patient satisfaction.

In the chairman's forum, Professor Ling Hu Enqiang of the General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army of Chinese introduced Super Minimally Invasive Surgery (SMIS), which is a new surgical mode aimed at resecting lesions or lesions to cure diseases under the premise of maintaining the integrity of human anatomy, and for surgical diseases or drug treatment failures, emphasizing the implementation of treatment without affecting physiological functions. Professor Wei Wei from Wangjing Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, deeply discussed the cross-organ multimodal characterization system of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine for precancerous diseases of the digestive system. Professor Wei Wei called for the establishment of a cross-organ multi-modal representation system and a multi-dimensional diagnostic thinking model to promote the integration, intersection, innovation and transformation of contemporary science and technology and traditional Chinese medicine theories, which can more effectively identify and manage precancerous diseases and maximize the benefits of patients. In addition, Professor Wei Wei also introduced the research progress and application status of Chinese patent medicine in digestive system diseases, affirmed the advantages of Chinese patent medicine, and analyzed the shortcomings and future focus points. Professor Jin Zhendong from Shanghai Changhai Hospital outlined the latest progress and importance in the field of endoscopy, especially its application in esophagogastric cancer and colon cancer surgery, emphasizing the key role of early cancer diagnosis and treatment as part of the daily work of endoscopists.

Professor Wang Xian'en gave a special lecture

Professor Wang Xianen of Juntendo University in Japan attended the meeting as a special guest and gave an important report. In the report, Professor Wang Xianen discussed the repair mechanism and influencing factors of gastric mucosal injury, emphasizing the unique advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in treatment. He pointed out that gastric mucosal injury is caused by a variety of attack factors, including gastric acid and Helicobacter pylori, and that the repair mainly depends on cell migration and proliferation, and demonstrated the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of atrophic gastritis and ulcers through case studies. In addition, the conference also invited Professor Wei Wenqiang, Director of the Tumor Registration Office of the National Cancer Center and the Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, who gave a detailed analysis of the burden and prevention and control progress of digestive tract tumors in China in his report. In 2022, there were 1.586 million new cases of gastrointestinal cancer and 1.111 million deaths in China, highlighting its importance in public health, especially in the elderly population and the significant differences between urban and rural areas. The report highlights the importance of early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment, especially for gastric and esophageal cancers.

Professor Wang Xianen was interviewed by reporters after the meeting. He said that the Professional Committee of Digestive Endoscopy of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine promoted by Professor Wei Wei and others has made great achievements in just seven years. The relevant research results not only open up new ideas and methods for the diagnosis and treatment of intractable diseases, but also provide valuable experience and guidance for improving public health, which is undoubtedly of great academic value and social significance.
