I'm sure everyone should know that the Olympics in Paris are in full swing recently, but today I suddenly remembered one thing, and it seems that I don't care about this matter anymore, and I don't care who wins gold in the Olympics or how many medals my country has won. Maybe people think that I'm too casual as a person, or that I don't like sports very much, but that's not the case at all. I remember in 2002, the leader gave us a night off, and everyone crowded in front of the TV to watch the game. I remember buying beer to celebrate, but losing to Costa Rica, and everyone was very miserable at that moment. At the 2008 Beijing Olympics, almost every one of us looked at the number of medals every day, but to this day, we don't care about it, of course, it's very strange.
Don't think that this phenomenon is normal, in fact, it seems to me that it is very abnormal. The emergence of this situation may fully indicate that many of us attach less importance to national honor, in other words, it may also mean that the love for the country is waning. This is not only a very serious bad tendency, but also a question that deserves everyone's deep thought. But is that really the case? Not necessarily, let's move on. All along, I believe that everyone understands one thing very well, that is, only a country can have a home, and a family can have oneself, and if there is no strong motherland, no matter where in the world, no Chinese will be respected enough, this is a fact.
For example, in the early stage of the Russian-Ukrainian war, there was a Ukraine blogger who explained why he was unwilling to defend his country, because many people usually ran to let him go to the battlefield and educate him in various ways, but he said three things, which made him not want to go to the battlefield. The first was when he wanted to go fishing, but was told that it was private territory and he was not allowed to fish, so he was asked to leave. The second thing is that when he wanted to go to the forest for a barbecue, he was told that it was private territory and he was also not allowed to barbecue in the forest. The third is that although his grandmother also has her own land, she has to pay money to the officials. Otherwise, it will be taken away. Therefore, in the opinion of this blogger, this is everywhere in the private sphere, there is no question of defending the country at all, and therefore he will not go to the army, because he himself does not know what to defend?
The same thing happened in the mouth of an uncle on the streets of Beijing. This uncle said that if it had been a few decades ago, the state was publicly owned, all power belonged to the people, and all state assets belonged to all the people, of course we had the responsibility and obligation to defend the country. But looking at the present, there are the shadows of some capitalists everywhere, and many assets are actually not state-owned, but are the private property of some capitalists. Therefore, in such a situation, the sacrifices they made were not in essence to protect the country, but to protect the interests of some capitalists, or to protect the interests of some private property, so the uncle also felt that what the Ukraine blogger said was very reasonable.
When I heard about the education of this great person, my heart was silent, although I did not agree with his opinion, but at least his words reflected a problem to a certain extent. Why don't I agree with him? First of all, we must understand a truth, that is, the concept of the state, the state has not only public ownership, but also private ownership. Socialism is the state, capitalism is also the state, and the security of every country is the basis for the survival of all people. Therefore, in a broad sense, it is not only the people of socialist countries who can be called defending their homes and countries in order to protect their national security, but also the people of capitalist countries. The state does not distinguish between public property and private property, and whether it is public property or private property, it is actually an important part of the national economy and can support the healthy development of the country's economy and society. Only through the healthy development of the country's economy can the people's living standards be continuously improved.
So what problem does this uncle's words reflect? In fact, in my opinion, what this uncle said reflects is that many people have transferred to the state all kinds of illegal acts against some capital groups, the methods used by some capital groups to squeeze the common people, and the indignation of colluding with some illegal powers to harm the interests of the common people. This is unreasonable, for the country, the most important thing is not the development of the economy, but a group of people with a high sense of identity, which is the foundation of a strong country. And every country will have some undesirable social phenomena, and there will also be various shortcomings. It is precisely because of these deficiencies that we will continue to expose the dark side of society, and will try our best to promote social development and national progress, and then constantly optimize our living environment and improve our living conditions. If we refuse to fulfill our obligations on the grounds that there are some unscrupulous capitalists or private property, then we will lose our feelings for our family and country, and we will not be qualified to talk about our nationality and identity.
Historically, there have been some big capitalists, big chaebols and big families in all dynasties, but no one will take the initiative to take up arms to defend the country when foreign enemies invade. In fact, the reason is very simple, whether it is a big capitalist, a big chaebol or a big family, they are all part of the country, and they are also the environment in which the common people live. Without these, how can the common people survive, do they have to go back to the era of ancient tribes, and everyone relied on slash-and-burn farming? It's clearly not suitable. Therefore, if there is indeed a contradiction within the country, we can solve it in various ways, such as reform, or even through letters and visits, but in the face of foreign invasion, we must clearly distinguish what is internal contradiction and what is external contradiction. To take the simplest example, if a parent has two children and has a preference for one of them, will the other child join forces with others to bully their parents and fight for their own property?
Let's go back to the Olympics at the beginning of this article, in fact, fundamentally speaking, it can be said that almost the vast majority of people are very concerned about the honor and disgrace of the country and have a high sense of national honor. The reason why many people do not care about the Olympic results and the Olympic medals today is not that everyone's feelings for the country have faded, but that the current situation facing many of us is more complicated. The ancients said: Full of warmth and lust. That is to say, after a person is full of food and clothing, he has extra energy to engage in some spiritual enjoyment, engage in some artistic enjoyment, and if he is not full of food and clothing, he still has the time and energy to consider those spiritual things. For modern society, many people work from 9 to 5 every day, worrying about high mortgages, car loans, high medical expenses, education costs, and the burden of life at home every day. I think that's probably the real reason!
