The harm of hypertension is well known to the world, but in the eyes of traditional Chinese medicine, it is by no means as some people think - "it is an incurable disease, and it can only be taken for life". A few words from Mr. Li Ke, a famous doctor, made it clear what the state of the body reflected by high blood pressure is: there is stagnation. Very incisive!
Professor Liu Lihong once made a very vivid analogy: the blood vessels of the human body are like the water supply pipes of a building, and to ensure that there is water on the top floor (just like our brain), the corresponding water pressure is required. For some reason, something in the water pipe is partially blocked, and in order to ensure that the water supply to the top floor is still unobstructed, the pressure will naturally be increased and sent up through a narrow place. But the best way is not to pressurize, but to drain the blocked place, and the water pressure will naturally come down!
Tahara: You look tough and you're in very good shape. Mr. Li is seventy years old this year, right?
Li Ke: Seventy-eight years old. It's not optimistic, and it's also a lot of faults.
Tahara: Really? It looks healthy, but it is slightly thinner, as the saying goes: it is difficult to buy old and thin when you have money. Have you always been so thin?
Li Ke: I've been thin since I was young, and that's what I do.
Tahara: How many years have you been seeing a doctor now?
Li Ke: 52 years.
Tahara: I've been seeing a doctor for most of my life. Speaking of this interview, I have been calling your home since the beginning of last year, and I have not been able to get through. Later, I called the Lingshi Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Shanxi Province, but I didn't find you.
Li Ke: I'm usually not there.
Tahara: Where was this patient just now?
Li Ke: It's from the suburbs of Beijing.
Tian Yuan: How did he know that you had come to Beijing?
Li Ke: Oh...... He had been to Lingshi, and his wife had rheumatoid arthritis, and the whole joint was deformed, and the person could not move.
Tian Yuan: Oh, I went to Shanxi to find you, are you optimistic?
Li Ke: It's pretty much the same now, and it's not a big problem to walk.
Tahara: Did he come today to see a doctor for himself or his wife?
Li Ke: He brought his sister here.
Tahara: Is it rheumatism?
Li Ke: No, it belongs to the renal hypertension.
Tahara: We have collected some information on the Internet and know that you have seen very good results in patients with heart disease and severe heart failure.
Li Ke: There are more in this area.
Tian Yuan: I just said that you have renal hypertension, are you sure about such a patient?
Li Ke: Well, I can't say that I am sure, some people can do well, that is, all kinds of conditions are met.
Tahara: Except for the other conditions of the various conditions, do you completely use Chinese medicine for treatment? Treat a lot of these patients?
Li Ke: Yes, a lot.
Tahara: Are you all right?
Li Ke: Uh, yes, it's basically all right.
Tahara: In this way, high blood pressure, which seems to be the most difficult to cure in Western medicine and Chinese medicine, is quite easy for you?
Li Ke: Not necessarily. This disease is complex because it is not a single part of the disease, but a whole disorder. Therefore, the treatment of hypertension in Chinese medicine generally does not start with something alone, because the concept of blood pressure does not exist in Chinese medicine.
Tian Yuan: There is no concept of blood pressure in Chinese medicine, so what corresponds to blood pressure, that is, physical imbalance, yin and yang imbalance?
Li Ke: Well, this kind of disease, generally speaking, is congenital yang deficiency, congenital yang deficiency, there are many genetic factors, and then there is an acquired disorder. The head of the human being is the place where the yang energy gathers, so in the past, the "Neijing" said: The head is the confluence of the sun. Yang energy converges in this place. This high blood pressure, why it is not good to treat it for a long time, is because of the turbidity yin, (it) steals the position of this yang energy. Qingyang does not rise, turbidity yin does not fall, and the so-called "liver yang hyperactivity" or something in the past is not the same thing.
Tian Yuan: Let's not talk about the concept of Western medicine to lower blood pressure, as far as Chinese patent medicine is concerned, most of the treatment of hypertension in pharmacies is aimed at "hyperactivity of liver yang".
Li Ke: This thing, the more you suppress that liver yang, the more stubborn this disease becomes, and the better it gets.
Tahara: It seems that your theory and method of treating hypertension are a little different from what is commonly believed. Do you have a deeper understanding and capture it more comprehensively?
Li Ke: It's different from others. I think generally speaking, it belongs to the three yin diseases, the liver, spleen, and kidneys, that is, the yang energy of the three meridians is too empty, and the position it should occupy is occupied by the turbidity yin, and you evacuate it (turbidity yin), sweep it away, and it's okay.
Tahara: According to you, the treatment of high blood pressure is too simple!
Li Ke: The situation is different, but most of the time.
Tahara: Can you give us an example? Let's see if it's really that simple.
Li Ke: In the autumn of 2000, one of my young disciples, who did not have a deep foundation in traditional Chinese medicine, studied ophthalmology. He treated a rural peasant woman for more than 20 years for high blood pressure, and her husband was a coal mine owner, and when he was rich, he was doing nonsense outside, and the woman was angry, and suddenly she had a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage, and soon after the bleeding, her eyes could not see anything. This kind of violent blindness, according to the dialectic of the Six Classics, belongs to the cold and evil and the young yin. At that time, I used ephedra aconite fine spicy soup, sweating profusely, blood pressure was cured, and the next day the person woke up, the eyes could see the figure, the cerebral edema was reduced, and there was more urine. After nearly ten years, his blood pressure has been stable, once and for all. This one was in my book, and that book was printed incorrectly, and it was printed as my medical record. But he didn't expect this to have such a good effect, and he couldn't explain it.
Tian Yuan: This thing is quite strange, ephedra, asaroxin, and aconite are high blood pressure according to the current medical point of view, why can you cure high blood pressure anyway, and it has cured a case of high blood pressure for more than 20 years?
Li Ke: Now there is such a misunderstanding, Ma Gui is the main ascending and dispersing, high blood pressure and blushing seem to be also ascending, because of such a relationship, high blood pressure only knows how to calm the liver and latent yang, and suppress the liver and extinguish the wind! I don't know if something warm can work, and Ma Gui still has such a good effect.
Tian Yuan: Originally, my blood pressure was high, and I still used drugs that seemed to boost blood pressure, Mr. Li, your method was once again not understood by many people.
Li Ke: Why is blood pressure high? In fact, there is a blockage in the body. The body is very mysterious, because there is a block, and it needs a high pressure to be able to feed the end, which is a physical truth. Ordinary medicines can't reach the end. If you use the method of Western medicine to take medicine for life, at the end, and continue to issue instructions to the body, I don't have enough to eat, hurry up and send me food, this instruction always exists, so the medicine should be used non-stop, if you are a little higher, I will press it down for you, so that the end of the body is always in a state of ischemia. After using Ma Gui, I sweated all over, and the disease was cured.
Tahara: Give it a boost, so that the blood rushes at the end, and the pressure naturally does not need to exist?
Li Ke: Ugh. Lu Huoshen once said: Fuyang is two, Xuantong and Wenbu. Using Ma Gui is Xuantong, removing the blockage, and it doesn't need such high pressure to irrigate. When I held a Chinese medicine conference in Nantong, I wrote an article, "Thoughts on the Cure of Subarachnoid Hemorrhage Complicated by Blindness from Ephedra Soup", which briefly talked about the question of whether ephedra cinnamon aconite can be used in hypertension and what consequences will be if it is used. Solve everyone's doubts, if this is not solved well, no one will dare to use it in the future.
