In 2024, the Agricultural Technology Center of Hengshan District, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province will implement the "Construction of Daming Mung Bean Standardized Planting Demonstration Base and Standardized Planting Project of Geographical Indication Products" in the whole region, totaling more than 1,600 acres. The project aims to promote the application of high-efficiency dryland and water-saving agricultural technologies and help upgrade the local agricultural industry.
Shuangcheng Office Liujiahe Village Shuangyou Breeding Professional Cooperative has more than 300 acres of land and 160 acres of standardized demonstration planting of mung beans. Hengshan District Agricultural Technology Center provides 12 kg of thickened mulch, 15 kg of slow-release fertilizer and 2 kg of seeds per mu free of charge to ensure the planting effect.
The core technology of the project is "integration of high-efficiency dry farming and water-saving agricultural dry farming technology", which mainly includes mechanized comprehensive production technologies such as mechanical mulching, mechanical seeding, mechanical fertilization, mechanical ditching and mechanical suppression. The core of this technology is to bring the 10-15cm surface dry soil trench to the outside of the film, so that the seeds are planted in the wet moisture of the ditch, which fundamentally solves the problem of low seedling emergence rate and low uniformity of seedling emergence. Compared with traditional manual farming, this technology has significantly increased yield and efficiency.

On September 13, the Hengshan District Agricultural Technology Extension Center organized technical personnel to conduct on-site production testing of the project. The results showed that the average yield per mu reached 154 kg, and the output value reached 1848 yuan, which was 64 kg per mu higher than that of the non-demonstration area, and the yield increase rate was as high as 71.1%.
