The National Forestry and Grassland Administration publicly announced the third batch of typical problems of deforestation and grassland destruction in 2024
In order to effectively play the role of warning and deterrence and protect forest and grass resources, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration has decided to publicly notify the third batch of 10 typical problems of deforestation and grassland destruction in 2024.
1. Panxin Mining Co., Ltd., Huidong County, Sichuan Province, occupied 319.81 acres of forest land without authorization.
Since 2009, Mankuang Panxin Mining Co., Ltd. has occupied a total of 319.81 acres of forest land (all national public welfare forests and natural forests) in Matang Village, Liutang Town, Huidong County, without applying for an administrative license for the use of forest land, for quarrying and mining, causing serious damage to forest resources and ecological environment.

2. Tang in Pingshan County, Hebei Province destroyed 318.65 acres of forest land and grassland.
Pingshan County, Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province is one of the key counties of the "Three Norths" project. Since January 2023, Tang of Shiquan Village, Wangpo Township, Pingshan County, has occupied 284.44 acres of forest land and 34.21 acres of grassland without authorization in the Shirengou area of Dishan North Village, in the name of leveling land, building terraced plots, building vegetable greenhouses, and seriously destroying the original surface vegetation.

3. Dingnan County Industrial Park Development and Management Co., Ltd. in Jiangxi Province occupied 223.36 acres of forest land without authorization.
In August 2020, Jiangxi Cicai New Material Technology Co., Ltd. obtained an administrative license for the use of 498.78 acres of forest land for the construction project of coatings, inks, adhesives, and resins. In November 2020, Dingnan County Industrial Park Development and Management Co., Ltd. was responsible for the "three links and one leveling" before the development of this project, organized the implementation of earthwork leveling, and destroyed 223.36 acres of forest land (including 63.20 acres of public welfare forests) beyond the permitted scope.

4. Youlian Graphite Mine of Shentai New Energy Materials Co., Ltd., Mashan District, Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province occupied 207.51 acres of forest land without authorization.
Shentai New Energy Materials Co., Ltd. Youlian Graphite Mine has illegally occupied 207.51 acres of forest land in Mashan District, Jixi City for many years, which is used for mining and construction of mining areas, tailings ponds, storage platforms, etc.

5. Zhejiang Merchants Stone Industry Co., Ltd., Gaizhou City, Liaoning Province occupied 142.23 acres of forest land without authorization.
Since 2020, Gaizhou Zheshang Stone Industry Co., Ltd. has dug mountains and quarried stones in Pujiagou Village, Chentun Town, Gaizhou City without obtaining an administrative license for the use of forest land, destroying an area of 142.23 acres of forest land.

6. Guizhou Aohua Industrial Co., Ltd., Pingtang County, Guizhou Province, occupied 123.02 acres of forest land without authorization.
From 2016 to 2023, Guizhou Aohua Industrial Co., Ltd. has been administratively punished for occupying forest land without authorization for 5 times, involving an area of 62.10 mu, and has not yet been rectified. In 2024, the company will add another 123.02 acres of illegally occupied forest land.

7. Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province, Song and others reclaimed 111.06 acres of forest land.
In 2013, Song and others signed a contracted afforestation contract with Beidahuang Group Heilongjiang Songhuajiang Farm Co., Ltd. to afforestation on the company's 277.41 acres of suitable forest land and passed the acceptance. Since 2022, Song and others have reclaimed 111.06 acres of forest land to plant crops, and are currently planting beans.

8. 109.07 acres of forest land was destroyed by cultivated land development in Huangzujiang Village, Linwu County, Hunan Province.
In September 2022, the Linwu County Natural Resources Bureau approved the implementation of a cultivated land development project in Huangzujiang Village, Wanshui Township, which was implemented by the Linwu Branch of Hunan Fourth Engineering Co., Ltd., of which 109.07 acres of forest land was reclaimed, causing mountain damage and aggravating soil erosion.

9. 104.38 acres of forest land reclaimed by Zhu in Shulan City, Jilin Province.
In the spring of 2022, Zhu of Shulan City reclaimed 104.38 acres of forest land in Yongsheng Forest Farm, planted corn, red beans and other crops after reclamation, and the original artificial juglans were all destroyed except for a small amount of preservation.

10. The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Bahrain Right Banner Ba destroyed 72.71 acres of deforestation.
In the spring of 2024, a certain forest reclamation of 72.71 mu was destroyed in Xilamu, Bahrain Right Banner, Chifeng City, for planting watermelons, and the vegetation in the original forest land has been completely destroyed.
