In 1945, China's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression was finally won, and the whole country was not happy, but in the joy of singing and dancing, a high-walled house in the northeast was uncharacteristically full of troops. Under the order of the army commander led by him, his subordinate troops poured into this mansion, and the owner of the mansion was Yuan Jinkai, the first civilian staff of Zhang Zuolin, the king of Northeast China, and then defected to the Japanese.
The tongue of three inches stirs the storm
Yuan Jinkai, whose name is Jieshan, was born in 1870 in a Manchu family in Shanyuepu, Liaoning. He was bright and studious since childhood, and had a profound knowledge of Confucian classics. However, the road to the imperial examination was not smooth, and the failure of the two provincial examinations made him disheartened for a while. I thought that the experience during this period had an important impact on Yuan Jinkai's character, which made him more opportunistic and cunning in the later life experience, so that he later fell into the cliff.
Things gather like and people are grouped. Although Yuan Jinkai was unhappy in his career for a while, but the so-called book business was like-minded, at this time he met Wang Yongjiang, and the two were like-minded and became friends. These two people later became the two most important literati relied on by Zhang Zuolin, a generation of heroes in the three eastern provinces, to stabilize the situation. Yuan Jinkai offered advice and suggestions in Zhang Zuolin's early entrepreneurial stage, and Wang Yongjiang was an important contributor to Zhang Zuolin's real hegemony in the three eastern provinces.
During the Gengzi years, there was social turmoil, and Yuan Jinkai embarked on the first step in his career with the recommendation of his wife and brother Su Huichen - serving as the general office of the North Road Baojia Bureau. He was diligent and conscientious, and was deeply loved by the people. Subsequently, he was promoted to the director of the regimental training group and began to make a name for himself in the local area. During this period, he deeply experienced the hardships and complexities of local governance, and also exercised his organizational skills and political wisdom.
With the implementation of the New Deal at the end of the Qing Dynasty, Yuan Jinkai's career ushered in a new spring. He actively participated in the implementation of the New Deal and won the appreciation of Zhao Erxun with his outstanding talent and keen insight. Under the protection of Zhao Erxun, he entered the superintendent, participated in government affairs, and gradually became an important figure in the political arena of Northeast China. During Zhao Erxun's tenure as governor of the three eastern provinces, he even held the important position of vice chairman of the Advisory Bureau, contributing his own strength to the modernization process of Northeast China.
The head of the city changes the king's flag
The torrent of history is always full of uncertainties. The Wuchang Uprising broke out, and the rule of the Qing government had reached the point of falling apart. The whole of China has been swept away, the institutional order of the Qing Dynasty has failed, and in this case, how the three eastern provinces are left alone, and Yuan Jinkai's personal fate is facing new challenges.
In the face of the revolutionary wave, Yuan Jinkai quickly proposed to Zhao Erxun the strategy of stabilizing the situation in the northeast, and he believed that in this special historical period, the words of the Southern Revolutionary Party could not be fully believed, and the situation in the northeast should be stabilized by the local armed forces. At that time, Zhang Zuolin had become the leading armed force in the Northeast region, so Yuan Jinkai actively suggested that Zhao Erxun call Zhang Zuolin to lead the army to Fengtian for protection.
Zhao Erxun was born as a literati, where has he ever seen such a posture and situation. Zhao Erxun, as a feudal official of the Qing government, wanted to maintain the dignity of the Qing government, but the whip commander was powerless, and it was already a struggle to protect himself. Thinking about it, Zhao Erxun could only treat a dead horse as a live horse doctor, and followed Yuan Jinkai's suggestion to let Zhang Zuolin come to Fengtian to listen to the dispatch.
Yuan Jinkai's suggestion ensured that Zhao Erxun continued to control the situation in the three eastern provinces and dealt a blow to the revolutionary party forces in the northeast.
Clever plans to exclude dissidents
After the establishment of the Republic of China, Yuan Jinkai continued to play an important role in the political arena. He once followed Zhao Erxun to Beijing to serve as the compiler of the Qing History Museum, but he did not compile the book with peace of mind, but actively fought for Zhang Zuolin's interests. In the political arena of the Republic of China, he has become one of Zhang Zuolin's important think tanks with his talent and influence.
For Yuan Jinkai, the most famous thing is that he cleverly devised a clever plan to ask Zhang Zuolin's opponent Feng Delin to voluntarily take the bait and completely lose his competitiveness. Feng Delin is Zhang Zuolin's fourth brother, and he was a well-known figure in the Northeast Green Forest Industry back then, and he was also the most influential force in addition to Zhang Zuolin in the later period.
Feng Delin relied on his old qualifications and strong troops to oppose Zhang Zuolin everywhere, and how to help Zhang Zuolin eliminate this hidden danger was called a problem that Yuan Jinkai thought about repeatedly. At this time, Zhang Xun, a royalist party in the customs, invited Zhang Zuolin to enter the customs and jointly restore in order to achieve a great cause. Zhang Zuolin knew that the situation was uncertain, so at the suggestion of Yuan Jinkai, he asked Feng Delin to negotiate with Zhang Xun.
Feng Delin saw this as a great opportunity to start anew, and he was imprisoned in Beijing after the failure of Zhang Xun's restoration. Later, Zhang Zuolin took into account the brotherhood of the year and contacted Duan Qirui to release Feng Delin, but since then, Feng Delin has completely withdrawn from the military and political field in Northeast China.
Why be a thief
The situation in the northeast of the Republic of China is treacherous, Zhang Zuolin is like walking on the tip of a knife, and one careless step is an abyss. In 1928, Zhang Zuolin was killed by a photographic explosive buried by the Japanese in Huanggutun, and his son Zhang Xueliang officially took over the power and was called the head of the new generation.
Zhang Xueliang came to power and reused the youth generals, but he was not interested in the old man back then, and Yuan Jinkai gradually walked to the periphery of the power circle.
In 1931, the "September · 18" incident broke out, and the Northeast fell. In the face of Japan's aggression and oppression, Yuan Jinkai made a painful choice - to defect to Japan and become the minister of the puppet state of Manchukuo. This act not only made him lose his national integrity, but also left him a shameful page in history. His late season is not guaranteed, and it has become a joke of people's after-dinner conversations and history.
In his lifetime, Yuan Jinkai made important contributions to the Qing court and local governance, as well as his shameful act of losing his national integrity at a critical moment. No matter when and where you are, you should stick to the national integrity and moral bottom line, you are a talented person, but you can't be a thief!
