Not long ago, we introduced the top 30 of New Zealand's best wineries of the year in 2020 by The Real Review (TRR), a website co-founded by the famous Australian wine critic Huon Hooke and New Zealand wine master Bob Campbell MW (please click here for a review).

The "list" Penfolds can only rank 31st, who are the top 30 Australian wineries?

To participate in the competition, the winery is required to provide representatives of the latest vintage, and if there is only 1 model, it is required to provide samples of nearly 3 consecutive vintages. The judging panel scored each winery over a 2-year period to produce an annual list of the best wineries.

Unlike New Zealand,000 or so, Australia's list ranks at more than 400. It's not easy to get to the top of so many competitors, and what's even more surprising is that Penfolds, the representative of Australian wineries, is only ranked 31st!
