The selected schemes (atlas) will be edited and included in the "Shanghai Rural Villagers' Housing Design Plan (Atlas)" for the majority of villagers to adopt and use when building houses.

Design requirements
1. Style requirements
According to the Guidelines for the Planning, Design and Construction of Suburban Rural Landscapes in Shanghai, the Shanghai region can be roughly divided into the following four cultural circles:
A. Songjiang Cultural Circle (Songjiang, Qingpu, Jinshan, Minhang Puxi area);
B. Songbei Pingjiang Cultural Circle (Jiading, Baoshan);
C. Emerging coastal cultural circles (Pudong, Fengxian, parts of Jinshan);
D. Shadao Cultural Circle (Chongming).
The design scheme should meet the requirements of style, the shape and façade design should fully reflect the style and characteristics of rural residences, simple and atmospheric, do not advocate luxury, and the main body of the building and decorative materials should be low-cost, easy to maintain, green and low-carbon, and ecological and environmentally friendly. There should be the necessary functional zoning and other graphic design of the courtyard.

2. Nesting requirements
According to the Administrative Measures for the Construction of Rural Villagers' Housing in Shanghai (Hu Fu Ling No. 16), to meet the actual needs of different family sizes (≤ 5-person households and ≥-6 households), the design scheme should meet the following indicators:
The basic indicators of the design scheme (set type).
3. Design points
(1) Set type: Each applicant unit (individual) should complete at least one set of "set type 1 + set type 2" design scheme (including plan, elevation, section and necessary perspective drawing), and its area can choose one or more of the four local cultural circles in Shanghai. The maximum width of each set shall not exceed 3 bays (≤ 9.5 meters), and the reasonable use of the remaining part of the homestead shall be briefly explained.
(2) Combination of types: Each applicant unit (individual) shall submit at least one set of combination plans (including combination plan, combination elevation, general plan and necessary perspective drawings) according to their respective design plans. The possibility of nesting combination design is self-determined, and the east-west combination, north-south combination or oblique combination can be considered, and the necessary expression of the base road, parking, landscape, etc., can be used to fit the site environment and the cultural characteristics of the cultural circle.

Outcome requirements
The house type should provide CAD drawings, SU models, and electronic texts in A3 size PDF format, and the cover page should indicate the design unit (individual), and the content of the results should be shown in the above design requirements.

Reward settings
Honorary certificates will be awarded to units (individuals) selected for the municipal program atlas and material rewards; The chief architect of the winning team (limited to 1 per team) is recommended to be included in the list of rural architects.
