From October 26 to 29, 2020, the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was held in Beijing. General Secretary of the Central Committee Xi Jinping made an important speech. The plenary session listened to and discussed the work report of Xi Jinping entrusted by the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, and deliberated and adopted the "Proposal of the CPC Central Committee on Formulating the 14th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development and the Long-term Goals for the 2035 Years".
The "Suggestions" of the 14th Five-Year Plan, personally led by General Secretary Xi Jinping, are programmatic documents for starting a new journey of comprehensively building a modern socialist country and marching towards the second centenary goal, and are the action guide for China's economic and social development in the next 5 years or even longer.
