The film has countless huge holes in logic, and even the basic plot does not make sense.
First, Operation Utra had no contact with the four agents.
With the exception of Xiaolan, the other three did not perform anything related to Operation Utra.
Xiaolan's role is that of a code translator, but that doesn't make sense either.
The underground party organizations in Harbin would, in any case, have secret telegraph contact with the Soviet Union. The corresponding password must be changed regularly and is responsible for by a special person. This person is nothing more than memorizing the password and then finding a universal mother book. This person can enter The Puppet Manchuria from the Soviet Union in any capacity as a passenger, businessman, etc., and the spies cannot find it at all.
So, where does this require Xiaolan to parachute into the snow and risk great danger to do this work.
As for Chu Liang and Wang Yu, they were all seen dead, and finally paid the price of one person's sacrifice before escaping.
