32 years ago, he dedicated his youth to the military camp and became the Great Wall of Steel guarding national security; 22 years ago, he took off his military uniform and changed into a police uniform, becoming a people's defender guarding the lights of thousands of homes. Wang Hongwei, a member of the Communist Party of China, is currently the director of the Donghuan Road Police Station of the Weidong Branch of the Pingdingshan Municipal Public Security Bureau. Since he was transferred from the army to the Weidong Branch of the Pingdingshan City Public Security Bureau in 1999, he has relied on the vigor of "not accepting defeat" tempered by his military career, bravely shouldered heavy burdens on the front line of cracking down on criminal crimes, dared to fight and win, and achieved impressive results.

In October 1998, a major criminal case occurred in Weidong District, Pingdingshan City, and the suspect Huang Mou escaped after the incident and has not yet been arrested. In the past 22 years, the suspect's household registration information has been cancelled without any clues, as if the human world has evaporated. Due to its age, there is no photo information in the suspect's original household registration data, and there is no other available information, which brings great difficulty to the arrest work.

As the investigator who hosted the case, Wang Hongwei has never given up the arrest of the suspect. Based on years of experience in forensic work, he boldly speculated that the suspects were likely to have bleached their identities. He carefully studied and studied the fragments of information collected about Huang Mou over the years, patiently and meticulously sorted out and integrated like a puzzle, and re-sorted out the arrest ideas. On the one hand, a large number of analysis and judgments were carried out around the activity trajectory of Huang's main relationship, and on the other hand, efforts were made to find relevant information before Huang fled.

Wang Hongwei found that Huang had registered his marriage with the Civil Affairs Bureau in 1996, and finally found a marriage photo in the archives, and extracted other key information about Huang in the archives. Through further work, it was found that Zeng Mou in Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, may have been a criminal suspect who had absconded for many years. After verification, Zeng had a history of gambling and theft and was serving a sentence in Yancheng Prison, Jiangsu Province.

When the time was not waiting, Wang Hongwei and others quickly went south to Jiangxi and launched an investigation at Zeng's household registration, and then confirmed that Huang mou had bleached his identity as Zeng mou in order to escape the crackdown of the public security organs during his fugitive. After the investigation, Wang Hongwei and the members of the special case team quickly rushed to Jiangsu Yancheng Prison to escort Huang back to Ping. At this point, Huang Mou, who had absconded for 22 years, finally accepted the solemn trial of the law.

In November 2020, after the reform of the police mechanism, Wang Hongwei served as the director of the East Ring Road Police Station of the Weidong Branch. He regards the police station as the forefront of serving the masses, always adheres to the principle that "the affairs of the masses are their own affairs," handles every police situation with deep feelings for the masses of the people, actively takes the initiative to do everything well for the masses in the jurisdiction, does his best to solve the problems of urgency, difficulty, and anxiety for the masses in the jurisdiction, and strives to be a good attendant of the masses of the people.

This summer, torrential rains hit the city one after another, and the culverts in the jurisdiction were seriously flooded. In order to remind the passing masses to detour, Wang Hongwei took a warning belt, picked up a loudspeaker, and pulled up a cordon on both sides of the culvert bridge at the first time to remind the passing drivers to detour.

In order to hurry up, a small truck master ignored the reminder of the police and insisted on "testing the water with the car", and the result was that the vehicle was turned off in the deepest part of the water. Wang Hongwei immediately led the police on duty to wade into the water to rescue him. The water did not pass the thighs, the sand and gravel broke the footboard, and the small truck full of goods struggled to climb the hill. After everyone's concerted efforts, the pickup truck finally drove out of the culvert. The truck driver looked at Director Wang, who was barefoot and had his pants legs pulled high, and couldn't stop thanking him, so he had to invite Director Wang to have a meal with the police. Wang Hongwei refused, and he rushed to another scene to rescue the masses.

Shaoguang flows, and the prosperity is as promised. In the trajectory of Wang Hongwei's life, half of it is written with national defense green, and half is engraved with sky blue. He has the courage to take responsibility, work hard and dedicate, defend the tranquility of one side with loyalty, protect the people of one side with sincerity, and continue to write loyalty and glory in the post of people's police.
