Reporter: Director Wang, what is the basis and main content of the fire inspection site assessment of construction projects? What are the basic steps?

Wang Xin: The on-site assessment of fire control acceptance of construction projects is mainly based on fire laws and regulations, national engineering construction fire control technical standards, fire protection design documents and fire control design review opinions. The content of the on-site assessment mainly includes two parts of building fire prevention and fire fighting facilities, and generally takes the basic steps of first outside and then inside, first overall and then detailed, from bottom to top (or from top to bottom). In the fire fighting facilities, such as the outdoor fire hydrant on the outside of the building, the fire pump connector; the fire control room inside the building, all kinds of fire fighting facilities and equipment rooms, etc. are all important contents of the fire acceptance site assessment of the construction project.

Reporter: Director Wang, what common problems will we find in the process of fire control acceptance of construction projects? Please give us an example.

Wang Xin: Okay. There are many contents of fire control acceptance of construction projects, and the problems arising from different projects are also different. In terms of fire fighting facilities, the main problems found in the fire control acceptance include the functional problems of various types of fire fighting facilities and the installation and layout problems. Here are just a few simple examples.

Taking the fire water system as an example, the functional problems of the system include the inability to start the fire pump normally or in a linkage, the starting time of the pump does not meet the requirements, and the water pressure after the pump is started is too large or too small. In terms of installation and layout, taking the fire pump connector on the outside of the building as an example, the fire pump joint is an important means of replenishing the fire water system in the building through the fire truck after the fire occurs, in the case of insufficient fire water stored in the building, the fire pump cannot work normally, etc. However, we will often find in the fire control acceptance that some fire pump joints are installed improperly, such as the net distance of doors, windows, holes and holes on the door wall does not meet the regulations or is installed under the glass curtain wall, these problems will affect the on-site safety operation of firefighters; some fire pump joints do not have fixed signs or only label the words "pump joints" on the logo, which are not in line with the requirements. Because after the fire brigade arrives at the scene, if you need to use the fire pump splicer, it is impossible to determine the water supply system, water supply range, water supply pressure, etc. corresponding to the pump splicer in time; some are unreasonable, there is no fire truck parking site nearby, and there is no corresponding outdoor fire hydrant for water supply within the specified distance range, which will affect the development of fire rescue work.

Taking the fire automatic alarm system inside the building as an example, the functional problems include that the system is not in the normal working state, such as the fire alarm controller has faults, shielding, supervision, fire and other alarm signals; the linkage programming logic relationship of the fire linkage controller is wrong, and various fire fighting facilities cannot be linked normally. In terms of construction and installation, some fire detectors do not consider the impact of building structural beams when installing, and the layout point is insufficient; some alarm systems are insufficient to detect the circuit margin; and some construction units cut corners on the relatively hidden short-circuit isolators, and the number of installations is insufficient. These are some common problems.

Reporter: Director Wang, what help do you think will be given to the personnel engaged in the fire control acceptance of construction projects by visiting this fire exhibition?

Wang Xin: China International Fire Protection Exhibition has a large scale, exhibits and new technology, in addition to product display, there are a series of technical exchange activities, which have built a good learning platform, trade platform and exchange platform for fire fighting facilities and equipment suppliers, design units, equipment procurement and use units and regulatory departments. I personally believe that the personnel engaged in the fire control acceptance of construction projects have gained the following two main aspects by visiting the fire exhibition:

First, when the daily fire control acceptance is carried out, the fire fighting facilities are installed, especially some hidden engineering parts are difficult to intuitively observe and understand. Through the visit to the exhibition, you can have an intuitive and detailed cognitive learning of the components of various building fire fighting facilities produced by various manufacturers at home and abroad in a short period of time, including internal structure, installation methods, technical characteristics, etc., plus each fire protection manufacturer has professional and technical personnel on-site answers, which is very helpful to understand and master the principle and function of various traditional conventional fire fighting facilities, which helps the actual work of fire control acceptance personnel a lot.

Second, with the development of the Internet of Things, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and 5G communication technology, the development direction of future building fire fighting facilities is to rely on the wide application of "smart firefighting" of the Internet of science and technology, and a large number of exhibits at this exhibition fully reflect this characteristic and development trend. Through the exhibition, it is very helpful for the fire control acceptance work to fully understand some new fire protection technologies and new products that have been applied or will be widely used in construction projects in a short period of time.
