After the coronavirus pandemic forced it to close in March 2020, the much-loved cinema Metroograph in New York's Lower East Side Chinatown has finally reopened. This theater has a strong artistic atmosphere and is a pilgrimage site for Young Literary and Artistic Youth and Independent Film Lovers in New York.

According to 1010wins, the stand-alone two-screen cinema will resume live screenings on Friday, October 1.

"We missed the chance to meet you at the cinema!" Metrograph CEO Christian Grass said in a statement. "I thank our team for working behind the scenes, preparing the screening space and reopening plans to deliver an experience that is both exciting and safe. Looking forward to our continued growth and seeing you all soon. ”

Under New York City's epidemic prevention regulations, all employees and visitors must be vaccinated to enter. Masks must be worn at all times except when eating in cinema restaurants.

According to Metalograph, the day the cinema reopens will show "Infatuation" by Polish director Andrzej Żuławski, starring Isabelle Adjani and Sam Neill. The film has won two best actress trophies for the actress Isabella Adjani at the Cannes International Film Festival and the French Caesars Film Festival.

Metrograph also plans to continue its home streaming service through its app and website.
