"The brightness of a region's lights at night is directly proportional to its GDP." Big data statistics show that more than 60% of consumption occurs at night, and the night economy is becoming a new axis of urban GDP. As a hot city in the south and a dynamic city for immigrants, Shenzhen has always had a good foundation and excellent performance in night consumption.

Children born in Shenzhen in the new century, bathed in the spring breeze of reform and opening up, grew up, in their eyes, what will the night in Shenzhen be? What is their concept of Shenzhen's night economy? In order to find the answer, the Southern Metropolis Daily and the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Commerce co-sponsored, Shenzhen Big Thing Media and the Young Goose Tribe, supported by the Shenzhen Children's Palace, the Nandu Cup • Shenzhen Children's Painters Night Scene Creation Competition was officially launched, and on October 23, the final of the event ended in the OCT Building.

In this final, 22 young painters participated in the painting of a 12.8-meter-long scroll reflecting the night in Shenzhen, "Pengcheng Night Map", which focuses on the night economy of Shenzhen and will have the opportunity to be included in the Shenzhen Museum.

The creation process of "Pengcheng Appreciation Night Map" was revealed, and 22 painters painted a long scroll

On October 23, 22 young painters jointly participated in the creation of the Shenzhen night view version of "Qingming On the River Map" was officially released. Lucas, the art teacher responsible for the overall planning of the competition, introduced to the Nandu reporter that the total length of the long scroll painting is about 12.8 meters, which is composed of 11 districts in Shenzhen, and each district is about 1 meter long and about 80 centimeters wide. In addition to the 9 major municipal districts: Nanshan District, Futian District, Yantian District, Luohu District, Longgang District, Pingshan District, Guangming District, Longhua District, Bao'an District, it also includes two major functional areas: Dapeng New Area and Shenzhen-Shantou Special Cooperation Zone.

The 22 finalists were divided into 11 groups, with each two responsible for a district. Lucas introduced that the distribution direction of the areas in the picture is from west to east, and the central area of the whole picture includes Futian District, Nanshan District and Luohu District, and the theme and focus of each area are different. In addition, the theme of the whole painting is related to the night view of Shenzhen, focusing on the night economy of Shenzhen, but many more specific sub-themes are divided into each area.

Nandu reporter saw that Luohu District is the theme of the night market, the theme of Yantian District is related to the port and transportation, Longgang District is the theme of sports and health, and landmark buildings such as the Universiade Center are selected, and the theme of Dapeng New District is ancient buildings, observatories, and night by the sea. Guangming District is themed on farms, about outdoor study at night, while futian district, Nanshan District and other central urban areas, the theme is the city's bright lights at night, there will be elements such as the city center light show.

Talking about the highlights of the whole painting, Lucas introduced that Longhua District is the first of the entire long-scroll painting. The reason why this area was chosen as the first painting is because it has a transportation hub such as Shenzhen North Railway Station, which has a good meaning as the beginning of the picture. In addition, even though each district has a fixed theme, the content of the picture is free for children to play through imagination. For example, painting the railway at Shenzhen North Railway Station like a roller coaster is the result of two children's joint thinking.

In terms of the choice of materials for long-scroll paintings, Lucas introduced that long-scroll paintings are mainly acrylic paints, which are more environmentally friendly and have a longer shelf life, which is very suitable for collection. In addition, the canvas is a pure linen canvas, which is not easy to deform, which can ensure the stability of the collection.

The young contestants have gained a lot from their creations, and their works will have the opportunity to be included in the Shenzhen Museum

During the finals, an art teacher is involved in the creation of each region. One of the art teachers introduced to the Nandu reporter that he would control the color as a whole and maintain the consistency of the color of the long scroll painting. In addition, the composition should also be controlled, especially the transition between regions.

What did the young contestants gain? The children who created Longgang District introduced that they had little understanding of Longgang District before, and they had done a lot of homework by taking the opportunity of creation to have a comprehensive understanding of Longgang District. Finally, the Universiade Center Gymnasium in Longgang District was painted, and there were many exercised masses, who also innovated in color. She said that this is the first time she has co-created with others, and she has learned many communication and collaboration skills, which has been very rewarding.

Ms. Chen, a parent of the contestants, said that it was very meaningful for children to participate in such activities, which not only cultivated children's fun of painting, but also exercised their ability to cooperate with each other. In addition, children need to do their homework on the area of creation before creating, and this process gives children a deeper understanding of the city in which they live. Ms. Chen said that the final effect of the long scroll painting was very shocking, and she very much hoped that the work would have the opportunity to be included in the museum and become a precious memory of children's childhood.
