After a while, a golden pile of rice was erected. In the autumn of October, another harvest season has begun. In the past few days, the rice in Zhoujing Base, a 10,000-mu grain field in Waigang Town, Jiading, and Yuhua Village in Jiading Industrial Zone, have successively entered the harvest period.
It is understood that Waigang Town has planted a total of about 20,000 mu of rice this year, of which the main rice planted are Nan Japonica 46, Huayou 14, Qiuyou Jinfeng, Husoft 1212 and other high-quality varieties. Liu Bo, the relevant person in charge of the Agricultural Machinery Service Professional Cooperative in Waigang Town, told Xiaojia that this year a total of 98 agricultural machinery and tools such as rice harvesting, grain transportation and green manure trenching will be put in, and 45 operators will be put into operation, and it is expected to complete all rice harvesting work by the end of November.
According to reports, the harvested rice will be sent directly to the Waigang Town Drying and Processing Center, which has 9 large dryers of 50 tons and 5 sets of 30 tons of dryers, with a daily drying capacity of up to 600 tons. After the rice is dried at a low temperature of about 40 °C here, a series of processing processes such as hulling, fine grinding, and dust removal are carried out, from harvesting to finished rice, and the whole process is mechanized.
Recently, the rice harvesting work in Jiading Industrial Zone has also been fully rolled out. Xiao Jia learned from the Agricultural Office of Jiading Industrial Zone that the current rice planting in the jurisdiction mainly adopts the lateral deep fertilization technology of slow-release fertilizer, which can not only reduce fertilizer loss, but also make rice easier to absorb nutrients. In terms of optimizing the planting structure, this year, Jiading Industrial Zone will replace half of the Jiangsu rice variety Nan Japonica 46 with the Shanghai rice variety Min Japonica 366, enriching the varieties according to local conditions, making the distribution of rice maturity more even, and reducing the pressure on the use of agricultural machinery and drying machine rooms during harvesting.
"As soon as the weather clears, the harvest will be rushed, and it is expected that the rice harvest in the whole village will be completed by mid-to-early next month." Lu Xingzhong, head of the Jiading Yuhua Grain Professional Cooperative, said that the current level of agricultural mechanization in Yuhua Village has reached 100%.
