On July 21, Chongqing Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. (01053.HK) announced that due to the expiry of the term of office of the current directors and supervisors of the company, Mr. Zhang Wenwen, Mr. Song De'an, Mr. Xie Zhixiong, Mr. Lai Xiaomin, Mr. Zou An and Mr. Zhou Ping were nominated as non-independent director candidates for the ninth board of directors of the company, and Mr. Sheng Xuejun, Mr. Zhang Jinruo and Mr. Guo Jiebin were nominated as independent non-executive director candidates for the ninth board of directors of the company. In addition, Mr. Wu Xiaoping, Mr. Li Huaidong and Mr. Zhu Xing'an were nominated as candidates for non-employee representative supervisors of the Ninth Supervisory Board of the Company.
The nomination of the director candidate shall be approved by the Board of Directors held in writing on July 20, 2021, and the nomination of the candidate for supervisors shall be approved by the Supervisory Board held in writing on July 20, 2021. Candidates for directors and supervisors will be submitted to the second Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders in 2021 for consideration and approval. The term of office of the above-mentioned candidates for directors and supervisors shall be three years, calculated from the date of election by the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders.
