Qufu, Shandong, November 2 (Xinhua) -- The 2021 "Beautiful China" online series of promotional activities sponsored by the Cross-Strait Tourism Exchange Association was held in Qufu Nishan on November 2, setting up the "Lianxin Bridge" for Cultural Tourism Exchanges in Lutai.
The 2021 "Beautiful China" online series of promotional activities focused on the two classic tourism theme products of "Yellow River Tour" and "Yangtze River Tour", and introduced the mainland's high-quality cultural tourism resources, new products, new routes and new policies to the mainland through online interaction in 9 venues in Beijing, Ningxia, Henan, Shandong, Sichuan, Shanghai, Anhui, Taipei and Kaohsiung. In the promotion of "Yellow River Tour", Shandong introduced cultural tourism resources along the Yellow River to Taiwan guests from the aspects of Water Margin culture, new style of the Yellow River, and ecological tourism at the Mouth of the Yellow River.

Zhang Xu, president of the Cross-Strait Tourism Exchange Association, said in a video speech that after 2020, a series of online promotion activities for "Beautiful China" will be held again this year, hoping to inspire the cohesion of the cross-strait industry and open up a new situation of cross-strait cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation. The Association will always uphold the "1992 Consensus", thoroughly implement the policy of benefiting Taiwan in the field of culture and tourism, take the well-being of compatriots on both sides of the strait as the basis, support Taiwan compatriots in seizing the opportunities of the mainland in building a new development pattern, and gather inexhaustible impetus for promoting the peaceful development of cross-strait relations and realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Lai Sezhen, chairman of the Taiwan Tourism Exchange Association, and other Taiwan guests said that this promotion activity enables the industry on both sides of the strait to review and recognize the latest tourism elements of today's Yellow River culture and Yangtze River culture, which is not only "warm to the past" but also "new", which will be of great help to the development and improvement of tourism products. Tourism is the best channel for cross-strait peace, which can create well-being for the tourism industry and the people on both sides of the strait, and looks forward to the early arrival of the spring blossoms of cross-strait tourism.
Wang Lei, director of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Shandong Province, said in his speech that Shandong and Taiwan have frequent cultural exchanges and interactions, and have successfully held a series of activities such as "Love qilu -- Cross-strait cultural and tourism friendship trip" and "Yansheng Centennial -- Mr. Kong Decheng Centennial Commemorative Exhibition", and has sent delegations to Taiwan many times to participate in the Taipei Summer Travel Exhibition and the Kaohsiung Travel Exhibition.
