The cotton fields are wary of insect pests such as cotton blind bugs

1. Recent weather conditions

According to the observation of our regiment's meteorological station, the daily temperature fluctuates between 16-35 ° C, the temperature is still high, the overall temperature is high, the rainfall is less, and the weather is dry.

Second, the occurrence of diseases and insect pests

(1) Cotton blind bugs

According to the survey, the average density of 100 insect populations in cotton fields was 1.6 heads, the highest was 3 heads, and the average field hazard rate was 0.72% and the highest was 0.91%. Due to the increase in field closure, the death of weeds on the edge of the ground, and the large number of cotton blind bugs moving into the cotton field, the density of insect populations has increased significantly compared with the previous period, especially in the areas where the fields are moderate, the density of insect populations is larger.

(ii) Leaf mites

According to the survey, the average rate of mites in cotton fields was 0.72%, and the highest was 3.6%, and some strip fields were higher and appeared with small spots of red leaves. Due to the dry weather and higher temperature than in previous years, it is conducive to the field growth and development of leaf mites, and the damage of leaf mites is expected to be greater than that of the previous year.

(3) Cotton bollworms

According to the survey, the average number of eggs per 100 tomato plants is 1.7, and the maximum is 3.3. The field is dominated by eggs and fewer larvae, and it is expected to enter the incubation period of the second generation of cotton bollworms in late this month, occurring earlier than the previous year.

(4) Locusts

In the survey of the public welfare forest of our regiment, the average density of locusts is the first 6 heads / square meter, up to 28 heads / square meter, mainly based on soil locusts, and a small number of Asian locusts are found locally. The average density of locust populations in road shelter forests is 0.6 heads/m2. Due to the arid climate, most of the grass weeds die, resulting in the unearthed locusts can not get enough food, growth and development are limited to a certain extent, but high temperature drought is conducive to the growth and development of locusts, so that the local locust population density is higher.

3. Prevention and control recommendations

(1) Cotton blind bugs: When the number of insects in the cotton field reaches more than 6 or the rate of victims is 3 to 5%, the drug spray should be used in time to prevent and control. At present, there are many varieties of pesticides for the prevention and control of cotton blind bugs, including flufenacillitrile, polybactericide, ethyl spironoid, furofuranamine, acetamidine, thiamethoxam, avermectin, chlorpyrifos, malathion and so on. Nicotinic pesticides such as imidacloprid or part of acetamidine for the control of cotton thrips have a very poor effect on the prevention and control of cotton blind bugs, and it is necessary to distinguish between drugs. Since most of the pesticides for the prevention and control of cotton blind bugs have no systemicity, it is necessary to ensure that all cotton plants are in place, and it is recommended to spray up and down the crane with a boom to penetrate the prevention and control.

(2) Cotton leaf mites: cotton field spot occurrence, spot control, has occurred in the plot that has occurred universally, or when the mite rate exceeds 5%, the whole field control, avermectin or pyridoxine or alkyne mite + tetracythamine or spironate or thiazone, avi ethyl amarazole.

(3) Insect-resistant cotton does not need to be controlled against cotton bollworms, tomato and non-insect-resistant cotton fields are promptly prevented and controlled on the basis of investigation, and each company organizes the masses of workers to place traps and set up insecticidal lamps in a timely manner. The control agents include chlorhexabenz benzamide + cotton bollworm nuclear polyhedral virus. The control index larvae are 5 heads/100 plants and 15 eggs/100 plants.

(4) Locusts: pay close attention to the occurrence of locusts, timely carry out prevention and control, and the prevention and control agent is indicolin. The control index of Asian flying locusts is 5 heads/square meter, and soil locusts are 20 heads/square meter.
