Antbirds search for insects on an elm tree near the entrance of Xiangshan Mountain, and only one direction can be observed. Today, without sharing what it saw, migrating flocks of hummingbirds (another group encountered), the black-headed shī (pinyin shī), and its other family members in China, the birds that impressed the most on this trip to Xiangshan.
Birds with peculiar habits in China - shī (shī)
It is a family of birds of the order Ornithischia , with a small body and a short head and neck and a short tail. He has a very peculiar habit of life: he likes to build a nest in a cave, stores food for the winter, and can climb the tree head down and tail up to forage for food. In this difficult pose, the woodpecker with two toes in the front two toes and the back when crawling cannot do it, and the woodpecker cannot climb down, but can only retreat downwards. It can be seen how strong the claws of the hind toe are, especially the strength of the hind toe.

1. Giant

It is endemic to China with a body length of 12 cm. It is found in the mountainous region near the Sanjiang Parallel Region in the southwestern corner of China, including southeastern Tibet, western Sichuan, and northwestern Yunnan.
Plateau birds, living in the mountains and alpine areas at an altitude of 1300-3200 meters, are active in coniferous forests or mixed coniferous and broad-leaved forests on the slopes of valleys, and can sometimes be seen in mixed groups with ordinary chins.

The body length is about 13 cm. It is found in China, Laos and Vietnam.

Body length 12 cm. In China, it is distributed in Tibet, Yunnan and other places, and is commonly found in broad-leaved forests or mixed coniferous and broad-leaved forests at altitudes between 1900 and 2600 meters.
6. Blackhead
Body length 11 cm. Commonly known as pine tree, sticker bark, The English name China Nuthatch literally translates as Chinese turtle. It is smaller than a normal body, with a black head and yellowish-white eyebrow lines. In northeast China, Qinghai, Gansu, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Hebei and other places, most of them live in coniferous forests or mixed forest belts from low mountains to subalpines in the cold temperate zone.

It is found in inland from India to the Indochina Peninsula through Bengal and Yunnan, Chinese mainland, and is commonly found in broad-leaved forests at altitudes of about 500-2000 meters and also in gully forests.
9. Ordinary 䴓
Body length 14 cm. Also known as the tea-bellied turtle, the common name is blue bold, wearing bark, pine branches, and sticking bark. It is common in deciduous forests in most parts of China.
10. Chestnut buttocks
Body length 13 cm. It is commonly found in mixed forests of southeastern Tibet, western Sichuan, southwestern Guizhou and Yunnan at altitudes of 1400 to 2600 meters.
11. Velvet forehead
Body length 12 cm. Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangxi, Hainan and other places have been recorded, inhabiting the valleys at an altitude of about 400-1800 meters, broad-leaved forests on hillsides or summits, hay broad-leaved forests or mixed forests, as well as on the side of roads or near villages.
