The Chinese emerald ant belongs to the order Orthoptera, which is mainly distributed in Shaanxi, Hubei, Chongqing, Sichuan, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang, Taiwan and other places in China. Chinese philanth is a medium-sized lynx of the genus Lycaenidae, with a conical head, a body length of about 20-30 mm, a green body, a narrow leaf shape from the head to the wings when it is perched, and the habitat posture is very special, good at camouflage, much like a leaf gently scattered on other leaves, so it is difficult to find. Males are 21.5 – 25.5 mm long and females 22.5 – 30.0 mm. The head is tapered, the top of the head protrudes quite far from the front edge of the compound eye, and the back mask is weakly grooved; The edges of the antennal fossa are very strongly raised. The dorsal plate of the anterior thorax is densely covered with granular protrusions, with two transverse grooves, and the posterior transverse groove is located behind the middle. The forewings far exceed the end of the posterior femoral segment; The hindwings are shorter than the forewings; The wing mask has a longitudinal vein and a network of transverse veins, and the head forms a narrow leaf shape from the head to the wings when stopping. The foot is short, and the auditors in the tibia of the forefoot are closed; The dorsal surface of the anterior and midfoot tibial segments is flat, with lateral ridges and a lack of dorsal spacing; The dorsal mask of each femoral segment has a ridge, and the ventral outer ridge of the posterior femoral segment has 9 small spines. Body green, ventral yellow; Compound eye brown. The hind feet are stubby, the jumping ability is weak, and the claws are strong. The wonderful back wings are flattened and grasped on the flat surface (usually leaves and grasses, etc.). This habitat is very special, much like a leaf gently scattered on other leaves.
