Speaking of drafting books, all generations believe that Zhang Zhi was founded in the Han Dynasty, and he was revered by posterity as "Grass Sage". In the Eastern Jin Dynasty, there were masterpieces by Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi's father and son, and cursive writing developed to the first peak. After the two kings, but those who write cursive are not left or right by the two kings. It was not until the Tang Dynasty, when Sun Guoting, Zhang Xu, and Huai Su appeared, that cursive writing developed to another peak.

Zhang Xu (張旭), courtesy name Bogao, was a Wu native of the Tang Dynasty (present-day Suzhou, Jiangsu). Because of the long history of the official To Kingo, he is known as Zhang Changshi. It is said that after his heavy drinking, the trumpet is written, or he writes with ink, which is known as Zhang Qian. It is also one of the "Eight Immortals in Drinking". Its cursive writing is called "three absolutes" along with The Poetry of Li Bai and the Sword Dance of Pei Wen at that time. His calligraphy was wild and unbridled, cloudy, extremely famous, and the calligraphy status was extremely high, and he was the founder of "Wild Grass", known as "Grass Sage". His calligraphy is generally magnificent, unrestrained, and strangely changed. As Han Yu of the Tang Dynasty said, "The change of the ghosts and gods is not to be revealed." Not many of his calligraphy works have survived, only the "Preface to the Langguan Stone Record", the cursive "Belly Pain Sticker" and the "Four Stickers of Ancient Poems". Among them, the "Four Stickers of Ancient Poems" is the most famous.

Zhang Xu's "Four Stickers of Ancient Poems" is the most prestigious wild cursive sticker in the history of Chinese calligraphy. "Four Stickers of Ancient Poems", the volume length of 195.2 cm, the length of 29.5 cm, in five colors of papyrus cursive four ancient poems, the first two are written by Liang Gengxin's "Step Virtual Words", the last two are Xie Lingyun's "Prince Jinzan" and "Iwashita Husband and Four and Five Teenagers Praise", after the volume there are Dong Qichang and other inscriptions. The Four Treatises of Ancient Poems is an extremely precious physical material of the Linchi Xueshu of the literati of past generations, and it is also the only inkblot that Zhang Xu has circulated in the world. Originally stored in the Qing Dynasty Mansion, it was later taken out of Jilin by Puyi, and after Puyi was captured, the "Four Ancient Poems" was handed over to the Northeast People's Government at that time, and is now in the collection of the Liaoning Provincial Museum.

Strokes The whole text basically uses the seal calligraphy brushwork, vigorous and powerful, sometimes there are thick strokes repainted, changeable, the beginning and end, conversion, and setback between strokes, flowing and mature, and the spirit is radiant. Looking closely at the strokes, most of the strokes have rough edges, astringency, and no floating and slippery diseases. The pen and the pen are hidden and retracted, and even the long pen is able to penetrate the pen and paper, implicitly. For example, the word "less", there is a slight pause after flying white, and traces of the closing pen can be seen. Without profound skill and elegant taste, it is impossible to reflect the creation of this exquisite, smooth, vigorous, indulgent and restrained beauty. The body of the knot look at the whole text, the asana changes are many, the strokes are dense or sparse, the glyphs are small or large, or fat or thin, the tilt changes are all amorphous, it is difficult to find its rules, sometimes a word is as long as two words; sometimes the strokes are added or subtracted at will, such as the "absolute" unspritten pen is insufficient, intentionally reduced; sometimes the oblique middle is taken, such as the "south" word in the middle of the stroke into an oblique pen, the two horizontal also into an oblique posture, from the surface there is a suspicion of brokenness, but the inner spirit is rich and the overall sense is strong. This is the use of the "Changing Judas" brushwork.

From the perspective of chapters, the strokes rush and wander, like smoke clouds, dragons and snakes flying. When writing, go with the flow, feel free to write. The words are as close as queuing, the line spacing, the word spacing space is small, some two words are connected into one word, such as "four five", "medicine man"; some one word occupies the space of two words, such as "less"; some columns are vertically worn and straight down into a related shape, which is quite dense and compact, and the grandeur is bold.

Zhang Xu was able to write the wild grass of "changing the ghost god", the reason is that in addition to his superb skills, it is also because of his unique personality, habits, and interests, which is the fundamental reason why it is difficult for future generations to learn his wild grass.
