Shi Yihong "rushed to two" for the first time, integrating the fiery boss lady "Gold Inlaid Jade" and the lonely and arrogant heroine "Qiu Moyan". The remodeled classic adaptation and stunning performance made the Audience in Wuhan marvel. It was not until the curtain fell for the fourth time, until Shi Yihongjia sang a passage of "Suolin Sac", that people reluctantly left.
In 1992, Xu Ke's film "New Dragon Gate Inn" was released, and Maggie Cheung's style and Lin Qingxia's heroic posture have become martial arts classics. In 2019, after three years of polishing, the Peking Opera "New Dragon Gate Inn" adapted from the film premiered. Shi Yihong, who has always taken the unusual path, once again challenged himself, one person decorated with gold and jade and Qiu Moyan. When the rehearsal was resumed in 2021, the whole drama had undergone major changes. The intermission was cancelled and the choreography of the scene was adjusted, making the sense of rhythm and substitution of the play stronger. The stage design shifted from realism to blank space, leaving the stage space for performances and actors, and returning from visual blockbusters to opera traditions.
Although it is adapted from the movie, it does not imitate the movie, Shi Yihong said: "I have seen the movie "New Dragon Gate Inn" countless times and have been deeply affected. But when I walk into rehearsal, I throw the movie away. If I play a golden jade that reminds people of Maggie Cheung, then I will fail. Her efforts have been affirmed by the audience, and Mr. Yang, a fan of the opera, commented: "The four words of 'Shouzheng Innovation' have often been hung up on the lips of opera groups in recent years, and Shi Yihong, a famous actor in Peking Opera, has interpreted these four words with actions. Adapted from the film of the same name, Peking Opera "New Dragon Gate Inn" has undergone a bold opera arrangement, which is rooted in tradition and unique, creating a group of vibrant martial arts characters on the stage, highlighting the truth, goodness and beauty of human nature. Shi Yihong's 'one catch two', one is Hua Dan, Spicy Dan, the other is Qingyi, Dao Ma Dan, the difficulty is quite large, but it is this difficulty that attracts Shi Yihong to create, but also attracts the audience to watch, 'drama protector' and 'people also protect drama', showing a win-win good scene. It can be said that "New Dragon Gate Inn" is a rare masterpiece of newly compiled Peking Opera in recent years. ”
After the two-hour performance, the audience was reluctant to leave. Only to see the curtain on the stage fall and open, Shi Yihong and all the actors closed the curtain several times, and people still insisted on standing in the audience cheering and cheering. Shi Yihong walked to the front of the stage alone with a smile and said: "Every time I come to Wuhan, everyone is so enthusiastic, thank you so much. When someone in the audience shouted, "Come every year." She smiled even more: "Definitely, come every year." At the end, she sang a passage of "Lock Lin Sac", and the curtain finally fell, and people reluctantly left.
