English name: Rose-branch murex

Description: Mollusc phylum, Gastropods, Neogastropods, Osteospiaceae, Genus Centaureae.

The shell is spindle-shaped, solid and high. The size is about 10 cm. The shell surface is tan with fine black stripes. The anterior water pipe groove is long and wide, and the suture line is deep. There are 3 longitudinal ribs on each spiral layer with semi-tubular protrusions, the end of which resembles a fern leaf. "Fern leaves" are purple or pink. The inside of the shell mouth is white. It inhabits shallow coral reefs and rocky bottoms. It is found in Taiwan, the Western Pacific Ocean, and the Indian Ocean.
