A pflops (petaflops) is equal to 100 quadrillion floating-point operations per second. "At present, the host performance of Chengdu Supercomputing Center peaks at 170pflops, and the computing speed exceeds 1 billion times per second, which is roughly equivalent to 2 million ordinary computers running at the same time, and its 1-minute computing power is equivalent to 32 years of uninterrupted computing for everyone in the world."

The strategic science and technology innovation platform is the "heavy weapon of the country". Up to now, it has provided computing services for more than 450 users, covering more than 30 service areas, 19 cities inside and outside the province, assisting in attracting more than 80 enterprises, with a system utilization rate of 35%, completing 5.7 million computing tasks, deploying more than 200 software such as material research and development, and completing 12 national projects such as quantum biological information systems, with a cumulative contract signing amount of about 17.52 million yuan.
