According to historical records, Diao Jia Quan was founded by the Qing Dynasty boxer Diao Huolong, and his nephew Diao Hailong (1886-1959) carried it forward. In 2019, Diao JiaJiaoquan was listed as an intangible cultural heritage project in Meizhou.
Before 1949, Meicheng (now Meijiang District) was lined with martial arts halls, and the martial arts community had the saying that "Huang Yuting was listed, Diao Hailong was in the next market". Under the "Hailong Pavilion", the brothers and sisters of the Diao Jia Quan in Meicheng did not take the Zheng Zheng oath, but silently practiced the ambition of the ancestors to "spread martial arts and strengthen the national body", hoping that Diao Jia Quan could develop better and carry forward, hoping that the Hakka martial arts could benefit more people.
