1. Song Xiaochuan.

Song Xiaochuan was a close friend of the late Hong Kong actor Cheung Kwok Wing, who in 1993 directed Cheung Kwok Wing to study Peking Opera performance and starred in "Farewell to the King". In my mind, this film can be called one of the best contemporary films in China, and there is no one. Behind Zhang Guorong's success, there is half of the credit of Song Xiaochuan.
2. Li Yusheng.
Li Yusheng played the role of Qi Futian, the boss of the Peking Opera Troupe, in the play, and did not appear much, initially opposing Bai Yuting's marriage to Wan Xiaoju, and later presided over the wedding ceremony of Bai Yuting and Wan Xiaoju's photos.
Outside the play, Li Yusheng is the son of Li Hongchun, a famous Peking Opera veteran performance artist and famous Peking Opera Master, and his representative repertoire includes "Lost Space", "White Emperor City", "Yang Jiajian", "Fan Jinzhongju" and so on.

Ma Zengshou played the role of Master Pei of Shuntianfu in the play, and when Zhu Shun turned himself in to Dali Temple, he bargained with Zhu Shun and decided to help Zhu Shun exonerate the Bai family and arrest Han Rongfa.
Outside the play, Ma Zengshou is a national first-class drama actor. Mr. Chengye Shengzhang, Mr. Ci Shaoquan, Mr. Li Siguang, Mr. Zhang Chunhua, and Mr. Guo Yuanxiang, a famous Peking Opera performance artist, were later trained. He worked in Xun Huisheng Peking Opera Troupe, Experimental Peking Opera Troupe, and Beijing Peking Opera House, and died on January 31, 2017. Ma Zengshou and Li Yusheng have performed on the Peking Opera stage for a long time, and have starred in only "The Gate of the Great Mansion" and "Journey to the West".
4. Zhao Yi.
Zhao Yi played the role of Bai Jingye in the play, appeared more, and when he starred in "The Gate of the Big House", he was only 25 years old, but his superb acting skills made people dare not believe that he was still a small fresh meat at that time.
Zhao Yi, who is outside the play, is born in a Peking Opera family, and the three generations of father and son are martial ugly. Zhao Yi studied drama for 7 years and sang clowns for 2 years, accumulating a lot of experience for him to engage in film and television drama performances later.
As early as before "The Gate of the Great Mansion", Zhao Yi had already left a very deep impression on the audience with the role of Li Wei in "Yongzheng Dynasty", and director Guo Baochang fell in love with him because of this, believing that he was the best candidate to play the young Bai Jingye. It is difficult to imagine that Li Wei, who had white hair in "Yongzheng Dynasty" and was a horse before and after Yongzheng saddle, was only 22 years old when he played Zhao Yi.
