After months of rumors, Thea finally said goodbye to the show in the latest episode of Green Arrow. In this season, not only is nisha's return and the rebirth of the League of Assassins, but it also paves the way for Thea's departure.

In the final episode of The Green Arrow season five, Nisha returns and tells Thea that a team of rebellious League Assassins is looking for her, and they are looking for a box left by Malcolm Merlin that only Thea can open. Deeply worried about what his father had left behind, Thea joined Nisha's business and left Star City.

In an interview with "TV Line," Producer Mark Guggenheim of Green Arrow confirmed that Thea's exit was permanent. Since season four, Thea's character Vera Holland has had the idea of leaving because she wants to go on other projects. Guggenheim explains: "Vera had said she wanted the crew to reduce her role in Green Arrow, which was in part a hint that she probably didn't want to renew her contract for the next season. So, I re-discussed it with her at the beginning of the sixth season, and unfortunately she didn't change her mind and she still wanted to go to other projects."

The Guggenheim went on to talk about Thea's exit and said, "I want to prepare the best way out of the scene for the character played by Vera Holland, rather than being killed like the other characters." Vera Holland was the founding member of Green Arrow, but now with Holland's departure, there are only three founding members left in the series, Stephen Amer (Oliver), David Ramsey (Diggol), and Paul Blackthorne (Quentinlands).

In fact, Thea is really suitable to leave in the sixth season. This year, Oliver's own life changed dramatically. In a sense, he lost his sister, but he also got a son and wife. I have to say that the sixth season is really impressive, oliver and his team, and it is also very different from the first season.
