Beijing News (Reporter Li Yan) On March 30, according to foreign media sources, John Krasinski, actor, screenwriter and director of the "Quiet Place" series, posted a video on social media to share some good news with Steve Carrell, a guest who had starred in the drama "Office" with him.

Krasinski told viewers it was a follow-up to his article last week asking viewers to share heart-warming stories: "For years, I've wondered why there isn't a news show dedicated to the good news? I desperately sought solutions elsewhere. I contacted all of you this week to ask for some good news. After reading these replies and the incredibly heartwarming stories that followed, I thought, well, that's enough. There is no doubt that we are all going through a difficult period, but after these anxieties, confusion, and isolation, we have also found our own way to break through. ”

Krasinski tells him stories from audiences: from the cheers of paramedics around the world, neighbors helping others mow lawns, to grandfathers meeting their grandchildren through windows for the first time. He also interviewed a 15-year-old girl who had just finished her last chemotherapy, saw neighbors cheering her on, and encouraged her, "You're the greatest hero I've ever met."

Krasinski presented the show like an evening newscaster, flipping through and organizing documents on his desk from time to time and turning to different shooting angles. He also interviewed Steve Carell via video — and this year marks the 15th anniversary of the U.S. premiere of the series "Office." The two reminisced about their experiences during filming, and Krasinski said that while audiences had always wanted the actors to reunite, he just hoped that sometime after the pandemic was over, they would get back together off-camera or just say hello like a normal person.

Finally, Krasinski told the audience: "Please remember that no matter how difficult life is, there will always be more beauty in the world. ”

As for whether the show will become a regular series, he jokingly said, "We may do another episode." ”
