Haikou Dongzhai Port is the first mangrove forest reserve established in China, which grows the largest area, complete variety and most complete preservation of mangrove forests in the country. There are 32 species of mangrove plants in 16 families, of which water coconut, red olive plum, Hainan sea mulberry, egg leaf sea mulberry, pseudo-sea mulberry, wood fruit neem, orthoptic tree, sharp-leaved brine fern are precious tree species.
